Disappointing another Warnock target seems to have gone elsewhere but on the other hand not overly bothered. Would of been a handy aquisition but not a player that would of improved us majorly.

Still time to get in some decent quality.

Still think DJ Campbell should be the number 1 priority for us. Bothroyd & Bullard will be good also.

I suspect he will end up in Hearts then.

Tend to agree Ric, my only worry is like you said, another target missed (whether we're bothered or not, still missed)

DJ far better player than CMS and Jimmy is a class act despite his knees.

Decent post, so credit where credits due.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I'm not that bothered. But what does worry me is he we couldn't even sign him over Championship sides
            Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
            And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

According to others, DJ cant be arsed coming to the team he supported, Bothroyd wants to much in singing on fees and wages, so we will be stuck With Heirder, Hulse, Hewitt and Pat.

Either West Ham or Leicester will be a good test for him to see how he looks when he's compared to better players in his squad.

Sad to say, but I agree with his agent, lol.

Not bothered about losing out on CMS.

Seen enough of him to see that he has a poor 1st touch and runs with his head down, similar to mackie and works bloody hard. Tracks back but the thing is Peterborough were a decent side in league 1 and created a shed load of chances for him. The premiership would of been to big of an ask. West ham would be a good move for him in the championship.

I agree fully. League 1 to Premiership is a massive ask. We can't afford to take 'risks' at the moment. We need players with experience imo.

Gone are the days when you can pluck out a Kevin Keegan and put him into a top flight team. The move can now destroy a player. If that ist he reason, then good move for him.
Austin moved to Burnley (in the NPC at the time) and promptly knackered his knee. Played 3 games I think.

Those players come at a premium, which the club will not pay either in fees or wages, so CMS is the exact kind of gamble we need to take, as on the basis we are reportedly talking to him, he is affordable.

Norwich might not be getting battle hardened PL players for their assault on the PL, but I bet they keep the majority of their team together as Newcastle did and are favorites to come straight back up if they get relegated.
