  • Leeds at home Easter Monday 1994 - on the pitch at half time protests!

We were top 10 in the premiership!

But Darren Peacock had been sold without putting in a request!

    We still had

    stetskal
    Macca
    Maddix
    Willow
    Bardsley
    Wilkins
    Parker
    Sir Les
    Impey
    Sinclair
And a young Kevin Gallen about to be introduced, all proven premiership players, the board room blues don't seem half as bad looking back as what they are now, we got stuffed 4 nil but still finished high up and also the season after. This board shouldn't under estimate our passion!

If we are protesting about the board not supporting the club with that squad imagine how we would react if Warnock isn't given a fair shout to keep us in the prem!

Surely Tango and Cash need to wake up and realise the importance of the fans, we may not pay the wages any more but we are the heart beat of QPR!

Thompson only sold us because we went down,

I didn't like Thompson but he backed Wilkins when we sold Les, we just spent it very badly.

It's taken a long time to recover I prey it's not a one season stay

You find from Thompson press reports he sold because of the threats he had etc. I like many did not like him at he time but now look at it we should have done more to try and keep him. Yes he back Wlkins when we sold Sir Les so he should have, you saying he should not. I agree that money was spent badly and should used the money to buy a good stiker hat may keep us up.

Funny enough i was thinking about the protests (b4 this thread) when the Queens park fulham thing was going on, and the sitdown in the center circle.

Anyone who joined the sitdown remember what Jim smith said to the fans as he seemed to be talking to them for a while.

After it all finished and Bulstrode and his company caved in, i really think that he Bulstrode had big idea's to take the club forward.

He muted about a retractable roof over LR plus other things in the pipeline shame he had a heart attack and died........we went slowly downhill after losing him.

Macca - of course Thompson should have backed Wilkins, just was surprised at the time!
Bulstrode seemed to be behind the club I felt he was going to take the club to a new level!

Interesting point about the threats etc, I Remember one of the fanzines encouraging fans to knock him over lol!

The man city protest was an emotional one for sure!

Whats all this misty eyed thompson ******! The **** got gerry to walk when he invited marsh up to the directors box so when then got that prat wilkins! The thompson were asset strippers and arsenal surpporters to boot! Our decline started the day gerry left and im afraid thats down to that #### thompson! Wouldnt **** on him if he was on fire! The ironic thing about the game was all the leeds fans taking the mick out of us protesting outside because a few year later thompson went and to over leeds and fock them up!

Connel your talking a bit of bull mate.

Firstly I don't think anybody here has actually said they liked Thompson.

But as much as I love Gerry we were struggling near relegation and he was looking for an excuse, he was very quickly named spurs manager.

We finished 8th that season , les was outstanding, we sold les and spent the money badly, les has achieved as much as he could and would have left who ever the manager was.

Thompson backed Wilkins, that did surprise me!

Wilkins was a poor judge of player!

As much as I hate Thompson !

Les leaving and Wilkins judgement cost us most

Sorry mate but I will always hate thompson and if you think im talking bull then thats up to you! At the time I think most fans I talked to were saying the same things as ive said! Still its all about different views but the scar that thompson left on me will never heal!
