Forget it. He probably would want more than the £25k we only offer to REAL stars, like Rowan Vine.

Just imagine, if we hadn't let him go we could have a Cannavaro and Shittu CB partnership.

One of the best CBs ive ever seen, but that was about 6-7 years ago when he won world player of the year. Probably too old now.

Great great player, best defender in the world a few years ago, best player in the world also.

IMO for a centre back if you can read the game as he can you will be ok. Yes lost a yard or so of pace, but put a quick centre back next to him he would be a top signing. The footballing brain he has for reading the game and positioning, I have never seen a defender like him.

We are QPR and wont attract players like Lucio, Rio Ferdinand etc. Even at 50 Cannavoro would be better then gorkks, hall, and what else we have.

BUT if Warnock doesn't want him he shouldnt be forced upon him.

I dont care if hes a couple of years over the hill , he was playing for madrid a couple of seasons back so cant be that bad now. Also, one of the best defenders of all time.

Would love to see him at the rs, one italian oldie i hope we could attract.

Don't think we will sign him, but I must be in minority.

Even at 37 think he would be a class signing

at 5 ft 9 inches hes far too short to be a center half, but he did win his last italian cap in 2010 so i can only think he briatore is thinking this player will play in sean derrys place

Teddy, a 5 foot 10 he has been the best centre back in the past 10 or 20 years. Argubaly one of the best ever.

Maybe we will have a world cup winning CB partnership next season, Cannavaro & materazzi
