Around this time last year I was reading the exact same posts.. The only difference was that people was still unsure on NW and we was being linked with average players...
I remember saying, give NW and his chosen men a chance and who knows where it would take us... And guess what we won the league!!
We are Premier League now guys, lets not forget that... whats also good to not forget is...
1. We are not a big club anymore, we have been out of the PL for 15 years!!
2. Rich owners does not mean massive budget, huge wages (if chelsea or Man Citys owners **** off, then both clubs would be ruined)
3. We must still be careful with what we spend, because regardless of spending 10 million it could still not be enough to keep us up
4. OUR AIM IS TO AVOID RELEGATION
5. Attracting big names (regardless of who the papers are linking us to) is very hard
6. 10 million these days, doesn't actually get you a lot.. Danny Graham cost swansea 3.5 million????? One good season he had... CMS has proven it for several seasons in the football league.
7. Who cares if we dont sign anyone right now, who cares if they are free signings... Shaun Derry was a blooody hero last season and everyone thought he was going to be ****!!
8. Although we finish top last season does not mean we will finish mid table next year...
Its so early on and by the looks of things Warnock has got a tight budget, he has admitted to missing out on 2 targets, one being Graham!
I guess like last year he doesnt want to rush into things, and wants to get the best from the recourses he has! I am confident in him, and confident that we can build on this!!
I would say that we do need to spend at least 6-7 million on a few players, but I would also say that NW has the ability to find a few hidden treasures on the cheap... *jamie mackie comes to mind*
We will sign players and we will have something to shout about soon.
Norwich have not signed any prolific premier league player so far... If anybody is jealous of who they have signed then you must need a reality check. I would much rather be linked with who we are at the moment than sign average players like they have. I cannot see how they have strengthen the starting eleven that they already have. Morrison is no better if not worst than Holt..
Anyway, lets be patient and not get so frustrated by the lack of news coming from QPR!!
