I have a source and he has confirmed there is NO takeover.
Infact Flavio and Bernie, as this has dragged on are more determined to remain in control and see where it takes them.
The plan is to keep us up and in the Premier League.
This will be achieved with minimal spending, and an array of bosman's and free transfers.
The wage cap is 25k a week, which Adel is pretty much on now.
Once Vine, Hall, Agymang etc go we will have some wages freed up to sign other players with.
Most importantly the players signed WILL be Neil's and not Paladini's or Flavio's, or else Neil walks. They know this and respect it.
Expect a maximum of 6 mil on 3/4 transfers and the rest freebies.
Staying up is the target and main priority, and that is waht Briatore and Ecclestone are planning to do, with least spending as possible.
This is how it is people, so hopefully these *****s claiming takeovers and rich arabs coming, can move along and keep their trap shut.
Jeffro thanks for the information. Do you know whether there have been any talks at all about a take over and they just didn't come to anything, or was the whole thing speculation and rumour from the start?
£6 million is not enough. It's less than some teams in the championship are spending. If this is true I'm surprised that NW stays, he's clearly no fool and must recognise that our current squad needs far more than £6m in order to guarantee survival in the prem.

Indeed. Buy "well or buy "wisely" being the operative words.
We don't have to spunk money up the wall. We did that in the mid to late 90's and the effects of such an approach is still with us today. Hell. It nearly sunk the club.
If we get, say, CMS, Bullard, DJ and a couple of decent backs then that's more than enough to stay up given the squad we've got. And all that can be done on a modest, sustainable budget.
Warnock will see us right.

Would personally prefer Bernia and Flavio to move on but absolutely NO doubts that we will retain our premiership status.
These guys are winners. They don't win in the way we want them to win but they will win.
Am going to enjoy seeing QPR back in the Premiership.

This is how it is; deal with it.

To be honest, Jeffro's post seems pretty realistic to me.The only thing i would add....and this is just my mind set on things....Who ever the owners, the one thing i would do in theri position, is play down the transfer kitty. If BE is still at the helm, and is pretty widespread that he appears to be a tight ars.e...then maybe telling the public that he is only allowing 6mill, but telling Neil that in fact...there is more, but if the greedy barstweards out there knew that, then they would bump up the intended transfer fees...

I don't revel in anything negative about the club and it breaks my heart when I see some of the things that have been happening in the wake of last season's success. I'm afraid that Jeffro's post resonates with everything I know about what's going on behind the scenes; I wish that wasn't the case but it is. I couldn't see any moaning there, just a bit of unwelcome, harsh reality. Get used to it.
