  • the board will NOT allow their investment to fail

ok my opinion and if we look logically at the current scenario with bernie and flavio, they have invested a lot of money in rangers whether we like it or not , they have lost near on 13 mill a season for last 3 seasons, its been an investment based on us getting to prem for without that target no way would they have invested. so if we look logically they currently have 3 scenarios
    1. sell now for a fig that will return them a profit , in this situation they are not going to invest too much as they will not get a return assuming the sale is sooner rather then later, this sale will have to be quick cos whoever comes in will like time to protect their investment
    2. do nothing in terms of investment and if we go down we will go back to losing a fortune every season and our worth of the club deteriorates and they lose out
    3. if they dont sell , to protect their investment they will have to spend to prevent scenario 2 listed above, BUT they will not overpay or over invest which i believe to sensible,

despite everything we think they are very good businessmen which is kinda why im pretty confident thay one way or the other it will work out for us as even if tey have no passion for the club they have passion for money hence my post.

like i said you dont become that sucessful without realising when is time to get out or to invest

I would re-phrase that, I would say "The board will not deliberately allow their investment to fail.

Ok so Flavio and Bernie are good businessmen but they have proven time and time again to be completely clueless when it comes to the running of a football club. You only have to look at the crappy 35 year old Italian players telling the press that they have been contacted by a representative of QPR........well it certainly wasn't Warnock was it?!!!!

In my opinion, Bernie and Flavio left to call the shots spells absolute disaster for our club and the only hope we have is that they see sense and drop their valuation of the club or somebody with more money than sense (like a rich arab) decides to pay Bernie what he wants for his shares!

Bernie E thought QPR was KFC when he first heard about us.
He does not have a clue about football, trust me he can **** this up.
He never cared if we went up and I doubt he cares if we go down.

i agree with sentiments about no interest , believe me they will want to make money out of this no person in that position will want to lose cash, the diff with abramovich is that he has a genuine interest in football and so much money he doesnt care, the guy at city and i know this as my dad used to work with the arabs is all about the competition with all the other arab families, they try to outdo each other with cars planes horses watches, they have jst stepped up a level with footie clubs firstly was in their own contry now abroad, bernie and flavio not doing this for anything other that they see an opportunity to make some cash, you need to remember investors at this level dont look for returs in first year or two they look 5 years down the line, its all about the profit mltiple they make its what they all boast about whilst sitting in their houses in st tropez, its the only thing that motivates them as they no longer need the cash

To be perfectly frank, I'm amazed the buffoons in the boardroom managed to accumulate enough dough to buy a tin of corned beef, let alone a football club, multiple palatial homes, yachts, etc, etc.

If I were plod, I'd be highly suspicious of Messrs.Briatore & Ecclestone.

Bernie is no mug he always gets what he wants. To say he is a buffoon is very short sighted I don't like the guy much but he turned a on it's knees F1 into a multi million pound sport again watched by millions. And Tango and cash like it or not have turned Qpr into a Premier league team.
I want the Mittals to take over but who really thinks they wil,l they have the money but I don't think they want the club 100 million is nothing to them if they really want Qpr.

I do find it strange how fickle and short sighted us football fans are...........whilst I believe it is in all our best interest that we get new owners at some point soon I do also see that had BE & FE not invested in us when they did, last season would not have happened and therefore the glory we all shared would not be going down in our history.
Like them or loathe them, they with a little help got us promotion back to the big time and whilst their supposed contempt for us fans does leave an aftertaste, I would certainly welcome them back in the future if they wanted to take in a game.
That is why I hope they do sell soon because at least then they can hold their heads high and walk away leaving us in a much better position than when they took over, something I will always be grateful for.

Thats very true for half our fanbase, but dont forget because of them the other half can't afford to come and enjoy it all.
                  They seek him here.................

i think the key point ref this thread not about the st ticket prices more the fact that as business men they will not and cannot afford to waste the opportunity at this door. i have stated loads that think it will be grossly wrong for our rue support to be priced out cos w eall know if we go back down then half the "fans " fk off again

Really don't see this, when we were in League 1 we averaged about 16,000 for home games in our promotion season and had away support been better then would have been 17,000 plus.
Football has changed from when we last were in the Prem and that is no fault of our owners. Yes I agree they could have handled things a lot better and as I say it has left an after taste but who says any new owners wont charge the same.
It isn't right but it is the way football is now to pay the ridiculous wages the players are now on.
Until something is done at a much higher level, it is only money that talks, which is a great shame.

last couple of years even when things were good we were getting 14-15 k , half an exageration but we will lose 4 k of our fans or maybe more cos if some of or core spport cant afford to come next season a good chance they may not comeback cos their fkd off with club and all the premier league rangers fans would fk off in an instant

Fulham have not priced out their fans, they just have shoite support so the void is filled by tourists in a nuetral stand........

We may be fickle, but if Tango had not stepped aside in Feb 2010 and put Bhatia and Saksena in charge, Warnock would not have been appointed.

QPR won promotion because Tango was not in charge. If he was, QPR would either still be in the Championship or even worse, in League 1.

They have invested heavily in QPR, but it is via loans. I have no doubt they are charging interest on these loans i.e. they took on the ABC loan and generously cut the interest from 11% to 8.5%, and they will be looking for all their money back if and when they sell up.

I have seen no signs of them willing to back Warnock in the Premier League, yes, it is still June, ut other clubs have been buying and signing players, all QPR have seemingly done is sold Leigertwood. How comes they can sell but not buy before July?
