  • Anybody else?....

Anybody else have a wierd, sneaking feeling that something very very big is on the horizon? What with these rumours of a potential imminent takeover? I cant help but think the fact that all this is bubbling away beneath the surface is the reason Warnock hasnt made any signings yet? He certainly hasnt seemed to worried. I can see us hitting the transfer market with a bang once a takeover has been annouced in the next week or so.... would sum QPRs recent history/rollercoaster up!
Although I might be being abit too optimistic, it really is a feeling i have atm!

fair enough, each to their own. I just think its part of supporting a football team; having a bit of excitement and optimism about things to come.

Do we really want to "hit the transfer mkt with a bang"????..... We're not Chelsea and we don't want to be Chelsea. If there is anything bubbling regards a takeover then here's hoping whoever comes in does it properley and doesn't just throw money at a load of big time charlie, gravy train primadonnas!

never said anything about signing big time charlies ? Purely referring to peoples constant moans on here about lack of transfer activity. "hitting it with a bang" meaning we'll bring in the 6-8 players all the fans seem to be adament we need to stay up.

I think one of 2 things will happen:

1.) a buyout involving the Mittals and some other investors will happen in the next couple of weeks. Enough investment will be made to keep us in the Prem and everyone will be happy.

2.) Tango and Cash hold onto the club as nobody is willing to meet their excessive demands. Warnock is sacked or walks before Christmas and the managerial merry go round starts. We finish the season with the lowest points total in Premiership history.

I honestly do not even see any middle ground either. We are QPR and we always hit the headlines for one reason or another!!!

That sounds too much like the Chelsea/Man city blueprint for my liking...... sensible signings and loans to stabilise us, invest in a proper youth policy, we turn out next season with 8 new players I for one wouldn't be happy! It's not right and proper to **** off 3/4 of last seasons team and bring in that much new blood imo.

If and it's a big If, do you think it will have a major impact on ST sales?

Fair shout. Makes sense, and i do agree we need to keep the core of the team we have, would be no good for morale to ship off the players that got us off, but i think to have a competative squad of 25 we do defiantly need at least 6 players.

We'll see though eh, in Warnock we trust!

I, personally, am not letting ownership affect the fact ill be going enxt season. But, on the whole from the general vibe on this board i reckon it will improve sales, yes. Alot of people are (maybe quite rightly) pretty dan angry/****ed off with the owners and are willing to not renew STs over it, therefore i think a fresh start (with regards ownership) may well give these people a different view on the upcoming season.
