Why pee money away betting on the cummulative outcome of 38 games for a silly 2-1?You should just lump on us losing every week instead and cheer our opponents on. Imagine the fun of coming on here whinging all the time AND counting your money too......... Brilliant!!!

If only we could all share in your optimism.

I noticed the title odds Standard on Friday, that had QPR at 750/1 and was astounded to see that 11 other clubs had longer odds including Newcastle Sunderland, Stoke & Fulham.

I guess the bookies still think that T&C are likely to fund a £60M spending spree (not that even that amount would be enough to make QPR a threat to the top 5).

I always say bet with your head not with your heart as betting with my heart has cost me loads over the years. BUT this is not a good bet even if you are betting with your head as 1)There are other teams that can and in my opinion go down before us and 2) Its a nonsense bet to wager on us to go down coz think of the scenario last game of the season we need to win to stay up we are winning 1-0 away at city when they get a 90 min pen,you had money on the boys to go down which will win you £600,£800,£1000 or even more and you totally skint and in financial trouble. WHAT DO YOU WANT THIS PENALTY TO DO.........GO IN OR BE MISSED ??????????

So far, QPR's inactivity in the transfer market has done nothing to make me think the squad will be anywhere near good enough to avoid being a bottom 3 side from mid-September onwards.

If Taarabt gets his wish to go, QPR will be even weaker, because I don't believe T&C will want to spend all the funds from his sell on new players. They will be more likely to spend it on a new chandellier and more cushions, champers etc for the entourage of showbiz and 'z-list celebrities' and pay off some of the 'loans' they have made to the club.
I cant disagree with the "I don't believe T&C will want to spend all the funds from his sell on new players" comment mate, i agree theyre a liability , BUTT im pretty sure there will be funds available. Granted, maybe not as much as we need/hope for, but i have so much faith in Warnock and what he can do on a budget after last season. I personally think we will grab a loan or 2, a couple free transfers and buy 3 or 4 players and, come the start of the season, everybody will have changed there tune. Dont get me wrong i do think next year will be a struggle, but i believe there will be 3 teams worse than us and, IMO, thats a very good first season: survival.

I think the team spirit and comradeship that players like Kenny, Hill and Derry bring to the side will help us alot. Whether them players are starting games or not, having them around, mixed with Warnocks passion for the game, i think will help us pick up alot of valuable points next year.

But hey, maybe I'mbeing too optimistic, i just want to look on the bright side for our 1st year back in the big time rather than be all doom and gloom!

When placing your bets, just remember those famous words from Donald Trump, "Its not personal, its business".

Tt's fair enough, but I cetainly would never pay £1000 to sit in that area. If I decide to get an ST, it's going to set me back £650, which IMO is good value.

In any case, £200 is a lot of money to put down on the hope your side gets relegated.

For one I can't see that happen because I don't see them going on general sale and two all bronze area's will be gone sharpish as agree they represent decent value for money.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                    £650 is for silver.

                    Bronze was again about £570-ish.

Thats decent value. I am very worried about match day prices.

i'll either get a st if there is a chance to or go to about 5 games not the usual 15 that I do.

when i say i laid the bet, its the oppoisite of backing it. so if qpr do not finish in the top 10 i win. so if i layed out a 100 quid now i stand to win nearly 25 when u take away betfairs commission

                          MattyRangers & Stanistheman,

I think you may have misunderstood e8's post.

He said he LAID us, not backed us, therefore not quite the optimist you imagine him to be.

**Sorry e8, you were clarifying things while I was typing.**

oh yea haha. The downside of having to keep 1 eye on your boss on the opposite side of the room whilst you browse the message board eh! fair enough mate, each to their own eh, could be onto a winner there though i reckon in reality!
