  • The best things come to those who wait...

Perhaps we should remember this saying re signings. Obviously though we cant wait forever but I feel clubs like Norwich / Swansea may have rushed in too soon?

Plus as we get nearer to the start of the season transfer fees may start to fall.

          Rubbish....

How about the saying the early bird catches the worm??

The longer we leave it the harder it will become to get quality. Simple reason we haven't signed anyone is we want to do it on the cheap. Simple as that.

Now I know its not sensible to go and spend £20 million on a player ( although it would be small change to our owners ) but they have to accept unless they spend a fair amount of money we will be relegated. Norwich and Swansea have immediately recognized it and bought sensibly. English players with appetite and probable ability to score goals. Something to prove. We'll either buy old has-beens on the way down or risky foreigners that'll de-stabailise the spirit at the club.

That is if we buy anyone!!! Oh don't worry we've tied Ramage and HH down on contracts......sure there was a lot of interest from other clubs....in fact I heard Barnet were interested in Ramage!!!

Agree kingy although does sound like you r having a bad day.

Hard to argue with any of it and I think Surrey is just trying to stay positive.

I however am really NOT looking forward to playing any of the top 4. It's going to be a nasty welcome to the premiership if we don't sign any quality.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

                Norwich have bought sensibly?

James Vaughan who is a crock for an inflated price, and Steve Morrison for close to £3m if rumours are to be believed. Elliot Bennett looks a good prospect, so I'll give them that one, but I certainly wouldn't want the other two.

I suppose it all deppends on the sort of player you think is a smart buy?

My only disappointment was our failiur to land Graham.

I do think we need to mve faster, but some deals will take a while to sort as they have interest from other parties. It's not all as easy as footy manager.

I am still staying positive and think come August we will be looking forward to the prem with a few good signings.Everybody keeps saying why are we not buying him or him as thats small change to our owners but dont worry,do you think they made there Millions/Billions by rushing in and snapping up deals just because something was available on the cheap.I am also chomping at the bit for someone to sign but iv just got this feeling we will all look back at the comments on this message board in a months time and be thinking MAYBE THEY ARE TAKING THIS SERIOUS !!!

Graham is a good player and if its wrong to "rush in" in order to sign these players then Swansea are guilty, but they have their man.

Time will tell,he was a good Championship player but nobody knows if he can crack it the prem.He may do well but what if he doesnt, £3m gone from there small budget. ONLY FOOLS RUSH IN ! lets wait and see what we bring in for £3m before making judgement, you might get a surprise.
