Taking gambles is fine in the championship and having a team of young hungry players is good, in the PL it's a whole different game. You need players that have the talent, rather than could have it. Hence why I doubt lambert and rogers policy this summer. They have bought strikers, where they already had strength in depth and of good quality. Defence is the key area that needs improving imo.
