Norwich have made a £1.75m bid for Huddersfield winger Anthony Pilkington (Daily Mirror).

Who are these players Norwich keep going for? It could work one of two ways: either they are buying players who turn out to be real gems - or they are buying the biggest load of old carthorses ever to grace the Premier League. Be interesting to see.

Young and hungry, a better transfer policy than some.

they seem to be behaving like kids in the co op sweets dept, buying anyone cos they got a bit of cash
think id rather 3-4 good players then loads of bench warmers

My stance on the players Norwich have bought? Couldn't care less to be honest - I don't view any single one of them as good enough for the EPL and I would be more disapointed by Rangers buying any of them than I am regarding our lack of activity to date.

Rather wait in the hope we will sign some good players, than waste money on average Championship players like Norwich are doing.

They have spent about £6m on the likes of Steve Morison, James Vaughan and Elliott Bennett.

3 players who will find it extremely tough to make the step up.

I read somewhere that it is Paul Lamberts philosophy to by young hungry players and after what Norwich have done over the last two seasons, who can argue.

The philosophy is sound enough - but they need to be young hungry players that are good enough to compete at the set level...................as much as only time will tell, I do not believe they will have a squad to compete, notwithstanding the back to back promotions achieved with the bulk of what they have.

I agree mate, as said on another thread if we had signed players like morison, Vaughan I'd be questioning the clubs ambition..

were all vital to us last year.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

Well said Morris, but we need to do that asap before other clubs snatch them.
