I don't see why he'd want to take it. England managers have the worst job going. A load of clowns to choose from who no matter how much you try to motivate them, will f**k you over. The fans will always blame the manager first. He'd be insane to even consider it.

Don't think it really matters who the manager is,think we have to accept there is not enough good English players around to make a good international side let alone a world class one !!!!!
We are way behind now,the whole structure of our league has to change to bring good english youngsters through and that just ain't gonna happen in our lifetime !!

thats why the fa might be making kids football a summer sport and makin it go to 9 aside before 11 aside like spain are doing.

Some counties already play 9 aside games like parts of Hampshire and is the perfect development and Cricket prevents most places playing summer football, so thats a non starter. What they should do though, is start a bit earlier and finish a bit later, so the kids do not play in December and January in the worst of the weather, but that's common sense, which the FA and their idiots don't have.

All in all the FA are clueless in kids football because the want the academies who have gone and got the best kids in their area to play the same rules and regulations as teams who want to play in non competitive environment, which is utterly pointless.

A perfect example, Gareth Southgate wants goalkeepers at all levels to only throw the ball out and not be allowed to kick the ball, which is designed to help them learn to bring it out from the back. This is great for the better gifted kids (academies already do this the way) but for little Billy and Johnny playing his fist game for St Hopeless U7 'C' team, after losing the ball again and then watching it get slammed in the net for the 20th time, it will be horrendous and tears will follow.

Olly is still a manager plenty of teams would want regardless of taking Blackpool down.

Shouldn't think they could kick it much past the edge of the area anyway at that age.
