  • Are the board tight or just very good at what they do ?

They took over when we were bottom. Ended that first season in 14th.

Folllowing season we finished 11th, then 13th and then had every other team in our rear view mirror this past twelve months as we won the Championship

The fans have never really felt that we have splashed the cash but love them or loathe them this board have been successful without having to spend significant sums.

Why is it then, that they are hated so much yet Amit is deemed to be able to walk on water. We all know that Flavio and Bernie have continued to have been heavily involved over this past 18 months whilst Amit was brought to the front to appease the fans. We all fell for it, BUT, it worked. We were all conned and the man we have hated has produced the goods.

The point here, is that I remain totally behind the club whilst Neil Warnock remains. If he departs, it is at point that i will have concerns. As things stands, he appears to be in charge of player acquisitions and whilst that remains the case i will very much look forward to supporting my team in the Premiership.

This is football and fans quickly turn. One minute a hero, the next you will get fans ccalling for Warnocks head.

The problem is if the fans perceive players are being brought in that are not Warnocks, then the fans turn against the board and not him. If for example we bring in 5-6 players like we did last season, that were clearly Warnocks and it goes pear shaped, then he alone would be blamed.

As for the cleverness of the board, think they are more smart than fans give them credit for, especially last season. The influence of Amit Bhatia cannot be understated. In reality Bernies and Flavios roles have not really changed, but we all believed they had because of the success of last season. Reason=Amit being the main face of the club and subtle changing of roles at board level to give the fans the impression it was all change.

The board are tight with there money and don't blame them. Fayed has loaned 187 million to fulham for example and so many clubs are in a big mess. The route we are following won't see us in substantial debt and in fact we are a realistic proposition for outside investors.

We are spoilt for money really. We won't go out of business with these guys around that is for sure.

Just goes to show though, money don't necessarily make you happy.

                    Good post as usual Connors.

Fans may well feel they haven't "splashed the cash" as you put it, but the debt didn't increase to what it is without some serious "splashing". Sadly, because of their early mistakes, a good proportion of it went where it shouldn't.

I think the major problem is their attitude towards the fans. There is no getting away from it mate, it's just wrong. Not necessarily the ST prices, but their general lack of desire to even attempt to form some sort of relationship that's worth having. Ill advised comments from Briatore re: £20 fans started it and they appear to have been doing everything in their power since then, to make a bad situation even worse.

Would agree that Flavio and Bernie are not at all good with their press comments. Bernie, seems to play with journalists for fun.

They appear to want to be judged on results only.

No doubt that being a QPR fan is a journey but i sometimes wonder where we may have been without these two characters and it is not a nice thought. As strange as they are I am happy that we have them to be honest.

Both have shown total disdain for QPR fans, shame as they had us all onboard when they first showed up.

well connors i admire your conviction in our board but i for one have not one iota of faith in those two , im sorry but i think the way they have treated the rangers fans is a disgrace and this will come back to haunt them one day!!! the only thing we can really hope and pray for is a buy out by someone who understands football and that does mean it has to be the mittals!

To be fair, we only started doing well when Amit and co were more in control - and they chose warnock, who was also a manager finally left to do things himself - and what a coincedence - we went up. Im not convinced he will be given the support he has had over the last year and a bit now that they have gone. Hope im proved wrong - but ticket prices, falling out between the board, and early lack of transfer activity does make me wonder if there is any intention whatsoever from the board for us to succeed, or if it is simply for them to make cash and walk
