Last season Mackie, Hill, Derry and Clarke all came in before July 1st

Not so much with Clarke, but I was over the moon with the other signings before July last year, in fact I would say I was the only one that was.

on another note you can sign people before the first of July if it is a paying transfer just cant sign before 1st July if out of contract on first of july can agree a pre contract agreement but as we have seen before this club wont announce until after 1st July.

and finally just because matty is only 20 dont make him a plastic fan, cause if it does then i am a plastic fan ( I am 23) and so was you when you was young. I myself will buy a season ticket providing finances are willing, times are changing and so are prices (not that i agree with them) bring on the premiership and if your not willing to enjoy dont ruin it for those that want to!

now if you dont mind getting off your high horse for a minute mate, i never came on ehre "abusing" anybody, simply giving my opinions (which is what this is for right?), and saying how we should be more optimistic seeing as we have just won the league. yet it seems alot of you seem to think that purely because youve been alive longer than i have gives you the right to talk down to me? were all QPR fans, im an optimist, looking forward to a new season in the top division of english football. without going into detail, yes there is issues at boardroom level that are beyond our control and we are just going to have to accept them. Whinging wont help change them. It seems a couple you needa take a deep breath, relax and enjoy your lives abit more!

What a lot of people are i think missing regarding season ticket sales is that the club are not really bothered if existing season ticket holders renew or not, there was a big clue when they didnt produce any incentive for people to renew other than to reserve their seat.

Things are different now, in the past the club have been desperate to get season ticket money in from a cashflow point of view as much as anything else, that requirement doesnt exist as a force any longer.

The club clearly beleives that there will be enough demand from lapsed or new supporters to sell the small 8k allocation and will make good money on walk up sales so whereas in the past it was important to try and keep the core support onside and happy it doesnt matter to the club anymore.

I think people need to get there heads around this because a lot are pointing to slow ticket sales as something the club should take note and be scared of but the reality is they dont give a **** an all the shouting and handwringing is for nothing because they are not listening and wont.

It will only become a concern if the tickets are not sold come the start of the season and even then I think they would rather sit in a half empty stadium for a while than make concessions that they would perceive as undervaluing their product

ill take it back mate dont you worry im not complaining lol just seems a bit silly that just because youve seen prem footy 15 years ago youre not excited for it again? Surely the idea of supporting a club is to want the best form them so when they reach the top league isnt that a good thing?

As for all the plastic comments.... ive had a season ticket since i was 6 years old... i fail to see how thats plastic? Why are you old pescimists so "on the offence" and quick to attack a fellow fan thats tryna put a positive view on things?

and as for me being young, the maturity of the comments coming at me, namely the "holding mummys hand" and "school computer room" ones... laughable. and youre going down the road of being the older more sensible fans? oh dear. Im not sure what sort of childhood you had but if you were at school and having your mum hold your hand at 20 i suppose that might explain alot of this negativity and need to try and stamp your authority over a "child" on a message board thread.

thanks mate. And i know, i duno where the random "plastic" accusation was from. only came on to try and put some positivity into things and ended up having aload of geezers abuse me and call me plastic.... quite amusing really!
