Sounds so simple! Phoned back to confirm that and they said no way could i do that and basicly told me i'd made it up and none of the staff would of told me to do that!

As I said mate, speak to who they think is in charge.

Being an argumentative and stroppy sod when I feel the need, many is the time I've called the chief executives secretary (not QPR I should add), to "highlight things that could perhaps be done better". Man at the top doesn't usually want to defend the indefensible and usually sees things in a different light. Having said that, I don't deal with motor racing or fashion.

Seriously think about it. The owners are clearly not interested in having children in the ground. Each child means the revenue potential of a seat is not maximised.

Thats the way im kind of going to be honest, there is no way you can buy more than 1 season ticket on the 5th of july so the club are basicly saying you need to make a near on £700 investment in buying your own ST then run the risk of not being able to buy another for your child @ £99 on the 14th due to the fact they could be sold out or have none available next to you.

            Its a £700 gamble

It doesnt say that anywhere, to buy an under 8's ST on the 5th your under 8 must have been a member last season, but as under 8's went free with a full paying adult there was no point of getting your under 8 a membership, Now the rules have changed reguarding under 8's that they have to pay there are going to 100's of kids who will miss out on a ST for next season

I am in the same situation. I talked it through at length with the box office. They won't do a refund. You would have to buy both on the later deadline.

I thought it would be highly unlikely season tickets would be available by then but with the mood among fans maybe there will be a few season tickets left.

I had wondered about trying to find an over 8 member who would let be buy a ticket in their name. But it is a strange thing to ask a stranger for - excuse me could I steal your child's identity?. (For clarity my boy was under 8 last year so I didn't bother getting him membership - this year he is 8)

I would also defend the club's policy towards young fans. I think it is a very good deal for young fans and it has worked. My boy is now obsessed and spends at least 30 mins each day watching devonparkrangers QPR videos. He also now thinks he is a star because he won the face in the crowd competition in the programme and got on Match of the Day during the Leeds game.

whats confusinf me is even if he is under 8 you would hav been issued a ticket even if free, you cant just go in ground without, that constitutes a st so should be able to renew, for example my boy 11 so when he becomes 16 his ticket goes up and when that happens i imagine i would just pay the extra.
have you tried going online and putting his ticket it?

Yeah thats all they've said to me, wait till the 14th, only problem with that it carrys a huge risk of missing out all together but i guess its better than taking a £700 gamble of buying on the 5th and then your child missing out on the 14th.

I have no problem with the club in respect to policys on kids, its been great for him to come with me from such a young age and the stuff they do for the kids is great but i get the feeling the mood is now changing we've got promoted, they could of at least gave parents who bring children some kind of warning that the rules for the coming season would change and they will be required to have there children signed up as members to guarantee there childs seat for this season. Its like the rules changed overnight and there is this grey area reguarding under 8's who have no membership as they never needed it being left in limbo without a ST.

This is my point i brought a bundle for the last 5 games that included a membership, my boy also got a bundle therefore 10 tickets! 5 in my name 5 in his.

BUT as he was under 8 his bundle was free and therefore did not recieve a membership as he didnt need one!

But now they have changed the rules he does need one!
