  • Under 8's ST Issues

Been taking my son to every home game since he was 3, As he is under 8 he goes free with a full paying adult, He's 5 now and Qpr mad, Seems the club have now moved the goal posts on under 8's, he's no longer free and must pay from next season which is fine.

Problem is ive always just been a pay on the day customer, at the mid point of last seaon when the attendances went up i got the last 5 game ticket bundle for me and my boy which included a membership so it safe guarded us our seats for the run in and when we were crowned champions. I am therefore able to buy a season ticket on the 5th of july but now the rules have changed under 8's have to pay & i cant buy my son his untill the 14th of july?

Stuck between a rock and a hard place now, i shell out £700 on my season ticket and come the 14th if there are none left my boy cant come, spoke to the boxoffice and they were no help at all, said that even if there were seats left they cant guarantee he can sit next to me! He's 5 years old im hardly gonna let him sit alone am i?

Question is, Is it worth the risk of buying mine on the 5th knowing i might not be able to buy his and i be lumbered with one season ticket. I cant go on my own it would break mine and his heart but the club dont seem to care they have left hundreds of children potenially missing out on getting a season ticket next season.

you could wait and try and get in contact (through box office) people next to you to shift over one, when contacting box office be careful as sometimes you go through to ticketmaster who dont give a fk, if you speak directly to the qpr box office you should get more help

It doesn't seem right, but hey that seems to be the cockeyed way that QPR do things now.

The club does not want bloody CHILDREN filling CHEAP seats. They want RICH ADULTS who will add QPR to their portfolios of leisure interests (RUGGER, OPERA, THEATRE, KILLING PEASANTS etc.). Run along, peasants. Your friend, F. Briatore.

There is no delay as such, problem is they are saying if he was a member last season he could buy at the same time as me but my arguement is why shell out £20 on a kids membership last year when he went to games for free? When i was sold the bundle they sold it to me that it gives us priority on OUR seats for next season, not just mine Our seats. I therefore received a membership but as my son went free he didnt.

I definaltly got through to the boxoffice and not ticketmaster. They really didnt seem to care that he might miss out on next season :yush:

                    1) You mean he's not complaining about it and throwing an adult strop?

                    2) Seriously would call again to challenge this. Just cannot be right. Ask to speak to the manager and tell him/her that unless they can resolve the situation to your satisfaction, you may need to point out their failings. It usually works.

If 15,000 people each write a persona; letter to that crook, will he fix everyone's prices for them? Seriously?

soory to hear that, but as I saidf it seems to be the cockeyed way the club now treat fans and do business.

Ive called about 3 times now and been told a different story every time. One girl even said that you can only renew your membership from the 5th and they buy a ST on the 14th? well confused.com, then another said its fine buy your ST then just change the name on your membership to your sons and buy his! Sounds so simple! Phoned back to confirm that and they said no way could i do that and basicly told me i'd made it up and none of the staff would of told me to do that!
