But as i said before what will be will be with our signings and thier aint nothing us fans can do a about ! Thats down to Tango and his LITTLE side kick with regard money !

But i think we will lose NW before the season starts if nothing is spent next week as he will want the new boys in and round him early
Have to disagree i don't think Warnock will walk out,i believe even if it all goes belly up in boardroom and in the transfer market he would still have a go at it with the players that served us well last year.Warnock is not a quitter.

Agree he is probably unrealistic, however, given the total chaos that is our boardroom situation. I was also pleased by the Johnson rumour as agree his career is quite literally in a different league to players like CMS. However, Gee did make a good point about how his goals have trailed off - I simply haven't seen enough of him to judge and of course I trust Warnock's judgement but could injuries have taken their toll? If you looked at Rowan Vine on you tube he would look like an excellent signing for a bottom half championship or league one club but you and I both know in reality he is finished. Think Gee was just wondering whether AJ might also be in decline. But agree with you if he is fit and back on form he is a different class to anything we have or have even been linked to.
Mate, I'm not saying that Keane is not still a "triffic player". (© Harry)

It's just that we can't judge all players on the basis of whether they're worth the ticket prices. The disgusting ticket prices. Especially the match day prices. No player we may, or may not sign is worth that.

If people are going to ironically post "Oh great, that'll make my £800 ST/£50 match ticket worth it...", in response to any player linked to QPR, we may as well all pack it in now.

People want, and are impressed with marquee names, because they're being asked to shell out marquee prices. I totally understand that.
And that is the fault of Tango & Cash... not NW, Andy Johnson, Mackail-Smith, the fans, or anyone else.

Andy Johnson (given the right manager/club) is a very good player, more than good enough for QPR.
So is Keane, so is DJ Campbell, and the likes of CMS could be.
But none of them are worth the prices and shocking management of the club that the owners are currently displaying. That's all I'm saying.

We have to seperate the two issues, and use the oldest cliche of them all - Trust In Warnock.
We have no other choice, really.

I dont disagree with you. I wasnt one of thoe making an issue of ticket prices. As I pointed out yesterday Bullard on 40k a week would cost £2m in wages a year and that's assuming he's on a free transfer. Ticket prices and even the TV money doesn't go far when having to pay premiership wages let alone transfers. I'm among those who had what I thought were pretty realistic expectations. But I think the board has messed up monumentally - if they were going to charge those sort of prices then if they wanted lots of renewals they needed to make at least one early signing that was, to use the cliche favoured by many fans, "a statement of intent". Peter Ramage, lovely bloke and all that, doesn't exactly cut it.

I do have a soft spot for The Geordie Cafu(!) But that pretty much sums it up.

I'm just going to take the easy option, and throw myself at the mercy of Warnocks judgement, and trust him to keep the whole f***ing ship afloat. Meanwhile the owners f@nny about alienating fans, count pennies, and play with their Scalextrix sets.

                  Not much choice really.

Someone help me here. The paper said Warnock was furious when the funds arrived late for DG and SM. But surely NW knows the budget he's got and if he really wanted to sign DG he would of agreed the 3.5m fee Swansea paid. What im getting at is teams dont agree a fee with a club and boom the next day the cheque arrives through the post the next day so surely if we had agreed to sign DG Watford would of had the paperwork signed by us to say we owe themn 3.5m. I dont get it

It sounds like NW had no money to spend when they signed and he did mention that when he said last week it was difficult to get the #####s together to discuss signings.

it is hard one to call but i believe that if you cant get a significant amount of monry together than the club shouldnt have bid for him in the first place as it just alerts everyone to it, thus others bid more when ours was rejected and no more money made available so we lose out! hopefully the board and NW get together and agree funds and stuff and work together and not seperatley

So it sounds like BE and FB's failure to get organised ruined our chances.
They call themselves business men? They should of planned long ago a sensible date to meet with NW and agree a budget so he could go away and try and bring some players in.
Shoddy work if you ask me.........and i cant say im surprised
