Must admit Gee surprised by that stat - thought he was more prolific than that. Were those starts or does that include a large number of sub appearances?

ps if you look on news now there are various headlines like "bagies set to miss out on yet anoter striker" re the interest of "big spending qpr" (cue: hollow laugh) in Johnson. Seems we are not the only ones getting frustrated, albeit from a far weaker position in the striker department than any other team in the premier league.

Afraid J, that Wiki don't show the sub appearances but his career total is 136 in 414,with 17 in 61 for Everton,Palace 74 in 140 but only 8 in 83 for Birmingham at the beginning of his career.Obviously good spell,1 in every 2,for Palace, but not the player he was and not the top type we should be looking for to keep us up.

Fair enough Gary does appear as you say he isn't the player he was, perhaps all those injuries have taken their toll, a bit like with Buz. My preference now would be for DJ and Keane but not sure how realistic either are.

Worked in his house not long ago and believe this rumour has legs because he will definitely be staying in this area of the country. Wife will not move and kids are settled at school. Also mr Bullard still owns a house half a mile up the road.

OK. Let's just assume this story is true.

Interesting that a player who cost Fulham £10.5m, has played 8 times for England, is only 30, and would cost less that CMS, Graham or Steve Morison (who have never set foot in the PL in their careers) is written off as not good enough.
Everything those boys have done in football, he's done, and a lot more.

It makes me wonder, exactly who IS good enough for QPR?? And who IS worth "paying £50 a game" to justify that ticket price?
Not many, are there? That's not Warnocks fault, or any player we sign. They didn't set the disgusting prices for tickets by which our targets seem to be being judged against.

Lower your sights people, we're not getting Robbie Keane or Peter Crouch. The season ticket prices and the £50 per ticket issue can't be used to judge every single player NW looks at.

                      Oh, and Robbie Keane?.....
Keane's last 3 seasons of Premier League Football? (with Spurs, Liverpool and West Ham)
                      70 Games - 18 Goals.

                      And he's older than AJ.
But he'd be great, and he'd be worth £50 a ticket, eh?

                      NOBODY IS.

                      Just saying.

Stilts - 18 goals in 70 games is almost a goal every three games and that includes a season with a relegated side. Keane also makes a lot of goals. Agree he is probably unrealistic, however, given the total chaos that is our boardroom situation. I was also pleased by the Johnson rumour as agree his career is quite literally in a different league to players like CMS. However, Gee did make a good point about how his goals have trailed off - I simply haven't seen enough of him to judge and of course I trust Warnock's judgement but could injuries have taken their toll? If you looked at Rowan Vine on you tube he would look like an excellent signing for a bottom half championship or league one club but you and I both know in reality he is finished. Think Gee was just wondering whether AJ might also be in decline. But agree with you if he is fit and back on form he is a different class to anything we have or have even been linked to.

Your spot on mate about his Mrs not wanting to move ! His older boy is very settled school and football wise !

I am going to be honest i have spoke to him recently re his fitness and form and he seems to feel better and fitter than he has for a long time !

But as i said before what will be will be with our signings and thier aint nothing us fans can do a about ! Thats down to Tango and his LITTLE side kick with regard money !

But i think we will lose NW before the season starts if nothing is spent next week as he will want the new boys in and round him early
