It's a Konami Licensed website, one or two mods and editors get the codes to test and write reviews.

The English league is pretty similar, with Manchester United and Tottenham still licensed at this point. There are one or two small emblem changes for the other teams in the English league, though the names remain the same as those that we saw last year – except for the addition of Northluck C. (Norwich), North West London (QPR) and Swearcle (Swansea).
    On Julio Cesar...

PES will always have the licensing issue, but hardly a show stopper. All of 5 mins in edit mode sorts all the team names out. I couldn't care if the kits or emblems aren't right personally as long as it plays well.

I was always a PES man until they wrecked it for PES 2010. There had been issues with some earlier versions, but the core mechanics remained and it was always great, especially Master League. For 2010 they changed loads and messd up the fundamentals so much it was completely broken. It just so happens that year FIFA was actually decent and i got a copy, it also had issues but ok. Then FIFA 11 improved and just grabbed it again as it reviewed well.

That became incredibly boring though after time and there's too many stupid things such as taking an age and about 5 screens to make a sub, loads of issues with the career mode etc. I then read good things about PES 2011 id originall ignored (due to poor media scores on the whole) and decided to pick it up. It is excellent and mends all the wrongs of the last version and the core gameplay is as good as ever and for me puts FIFA to shame as it always used to.

I think a lot of reviewers were just lazy this time around and as FIFA was good, which it is, improved on the last version and has all licences etc, it "Must" be better than PES again. I went with that at first but now having played both, much prefer PES 2011.

Doesn't matter really, but at least there's now 2 decent footy games available.

I've played a beta of fifa 12. It's much better than 11 (which was a slight step backwords from fifa 10). Better attacking AI and MP teamplay. I might pop down the eurogamer expo in september and play the full version. Pro evo died for me about 3 years ago.

It died for me about 10 years ago. My last PES game was Pes 2!

Word on the street is that PES is back this year. We shall see! I thought Fifa 11 was a right turkey myself and a soulless experience without much fun and excitement. It will be interesting what Fifa's new impact engine does, when PES introduced something similar in PES5 I loved it but others hated it.

This year whilst I really want to get Fifa because we are in the prem, I am actually going to wait and play the demos of both before buying

Was back last year imo, although generally not bothered with by reviewers or punters, myself included, after the dabacle of the "revamped" 2010 version, which was a joke. Was the first Pro evo i didn't have.

Many jumped to an admittedly decent (for the first time) Fifa 10, and when Fifa 11 was said to be better most just stuck with it, including me. IT was as you say though little fun and pretty boring after a while with far too many stupid frustrations. I then traded in and picked up PES 2011 afer reading really good things from people who actually play the game on PESFAN and the like, and it is much better than Fifa imo. The gameplay is as good as ever and the new passing system excellent.

Can't wait for the new one as i have also heard it is taking further strides and if any sort of improvement it will be amazing.
