usually find myself disagreeing with your viewpoints although do enjoy such a differing opinion.
However in this post you are spot on .

but how much at a time and how often I don't know.
One would hope we are given money before the season
and during the Jan window, or else what's the point?

I hope I'm wrong, but I have the sinking feeling these owners will be attempting to run the R's on a relative shoestring. In the prem, it only works until relegated unfortunately.
As I said, I really hope I'm wrong and waiting not quite so patiently for better news.

We had a great season finishing champions, but this was due in the main to Neil Warnock who created a great untiy amongst the players. Its all well and good saying that Ramage, Hall and Helguson are with us for the duration, but we need more, much more to survive.

Last season it was obvious Warncok wanted Walters and right up to the last minute he was coming to Loftus Road up to the point where Stoke offered the cash up front, then the deal was dead in the walters. A few weeks ago we were odds on favourites to capture the signature of Graham from Watford, only to see Swansea go a little over the odds to ensure he will playing premiership for them next season.

I like the players Jimmy Bullard and DJ Campbell, but we need more much more. Its okay saying "don't worry we know what we are doing", the reality is other clubs who finished behind us in the championship have already done far more in the transfer market than we have.

its a dangerous game waiting for last minute bargain buys and players who fit into our salary cap. We need to realise the gulf between the championship[ and premiership is huge and we need a very good pre-season where all the players are gelling together. If we are not careful we could be down by November , we need quality players who have experience of the premiership.

The club heirachy have secured a nice little financial earner for the club being in the premiership and they need to show all QPR fans they mean business. We already have a split fanbase due to what they perceive to be going on upstairs.

What is needed is some positive PR to get the fans all behind the team, for what will be our hardest challenge for a very long time.

Lets secure some good players, get the fans onside and actually get them to feel its money well spent to see a good quality set of players who can keep us in the premiership.

What I am seeing so far is lack of real intent to invest in our long term premiership future.
I see the penny has finally dropped at last. These people running the Club have no interest in spending money on players, at least not the money required to improve the squad to the necessary level. They want to sell the Club for as much as they can get, and walk away with as much cash as they can. Why would they spend it on players? They don't care if we get relegated as they will have sold the Club long before that. It's obvious, and not just to me. Less than a thousand S/Ts sold so far tell you that people aren't quite as gullible as these Italian spivs think we are.

Good write-up Pete, but you better send it those at the top management.

Whilst I'm not too bothered that we haven't signed anyone yet - which may put me in the "FFS it's only June" camp - I think Bernie/Flav have to realise (in terms they understand) that we are starting a very long way back on the grid and need a substantial investment and improvement if are to are stop ourselves finishing last.

Doubtless our wheels will fall off at some point (or Flav will crash us into into a wall?) but if we want this to work, we need to do it soon as Norwich and Swansea - arguably our closest rivals on the grid have stolen a march on us already and we are getting left behind.

We won't finish out of the bottom 3 with this squad and, whilst I don't think it needs a complete overhaul, it certainly needs more than petrol and four new tyres to give it a chance in the race.

Sorry we WILL finish in the bottom 3 with our current squad(probably bottom),I'd put my house on it,we need about 6 quality signings to give ourselves a chance, and these don't include over the hill freebies
