you havent read the posts previous to this
a few weeks before end of season i made a comment where i said we should be careful what we wish for, with promotion will come higher tickets etc and that i would be happy to stay in championship, i got slated for that
now here we are few weeks later everyone moaning about it.
the facts are we have an 18500 stadium which on its own is not enough to fund the wages we had in championship let alone th e prem, everyone thinking were paying for bernie et al are dillusional, our gate reciepts evn with the inc st are no way near enough, its the same as airlines ref corperate, airl;ines make no money out of the economy seats without the business class seats there is no airline (exclude ryan air easy jet) i dont like the fact that is the case but is the way of the world,
for the record i doont think its right that fans are being priced out but as i said earlier my boys ticket goneup from 200 to 250 is that really priced out?
mine gone up from 600ish to 750 is that really priced out?
everyone keeps going on about the mittals saving the club, when infact they didnt, they havent put the money in like i said , bernie has funded it, am i happy about that not really, and also every penny the mittals have put in are secured against loan notes to the company , they havent given the money to the club when relative to what they have is small change to them.

like i said what ive seen on this board is people wanting palyers like crouch defoe jenas etc and think they can get it with a crowd of 18500 paying £500 a year. it aint gonna happen its not possible or realistic, and lets be frank last year was embaressing the lack of sell outs for home games , who can forget derby at home when we got what 15k , maybe if wed had full houses last year we wouldnt be in this position,

Also how long would tango and cash have hung around with an empty stadium.
scarlet the last few years they have been involved you can count on your 2 hands the amount of sell outs weve had, its a wonder they didnt question why they bothered invvesting the money in the club anyway

Yes gates were terrible, but you have to look for the underlying cause, and once again, three names crop up...Bernie, ...mainly Flavio ..and gp who either pi$$ed off many of the st holders, or priced em out with their first 20% hike in st increases.

Also the way the club was being run was a complete circus, dont even know why i kept coming.

More than a coincedence, that things started to improve when tango stepped down for a while, and now the worry is he back???.

It wasn't that long ago when we were averaging 16k at home.
        They seek him here.................

mate your right but take your point last year amit running club, we sold out what 5-6 games ? we were top for all but 2 weeks of season andfans still stayed away, what about when dowie joined and first few weeks good still no fans, magilton we had that period where we played better football then people had seen down there in years and still couldnt get close to selling out, we had higher avg attendences the year we first back up, of course tickets went up they invested (whether rightly or wrongly) a lot of money in new players and someone ie; us had to help fund it
