Liverpool are reportedly preparing to make their move to sign QPR playmaker Adel Taarabt
The £7million-rated youngster has been linked with a move to Anfield for some time and last month hinted that he would not remain at Loftus Road next season following QPR's promotion to the Premier League.
According to Caughtoffside.com, Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is preparing to make a bid for the Morocco international as he looks to attract a number of promising young players to the club in the coming weeks.
The 22-year-old impressed last season, scoring 19 goals and putting on a series of match-winning displays throughout the Hoops' Championship-winning campaign.
But although the west London club would like to keep him at the club next season, a move looks likely.
When asked last month if QPR was a big enough club to fulfil his potential, Taarabt told The Independent: "I don't know, I did everything for the club this year.
"The manager told me 'it is up to you if you want to go, I won't stop you because you did everything for me, but I would be very happy if you stay for me'."
He added: "He gave me the choice – so I have the summer to think about it."
Taarabt has allegedly told team-mates of interest from Real Madrid, although Jose Mourinho is unlikely to make a move for the former Lens player.
Liverpool's director of football Damien Comolli is responsible for bringing the highly-rated youngster to England and was involved in his move from Lens to Tottenham in 2007.
