Sorry to mislead you with that thread. I'm running in the 'MAN ON THE RUN' race this Sunday 12th June 2011 in Herne Bay Kent. The race is to raise awareness of cancer in men. As you know Neil Roberts passed away on the 19th February this year, this time last year Neil ran in this race. Neil said after the race that he was so disappointed that so few men turned out for the event. So myself, Dave Robinson and a few other Rangers lads decided to take up the race challenge, and will be running in Blue and White Hooped shirts in memory of Neil, and to honour his good name.
I only got my MOTR race number this evening, as usual I leave thing to the last minute..... that's right I'm short of sponsorship. If you could sponsor me then PM me and I'll send you my home address. Make your cheque's payable to 'MAN ON THE RUN' and I'll do the rest.
I've been training for the past 3 weeks, the race is 5k, just over 3 miles, I'm doing 1.5 miles in just over fifteen minutes.... I know, it's quite pathetic really, but all the same it's for a good cause.
If you can't sponsor me, then I'd appreciate any comments of support or of the derogatory nature on this thread. One last thing, please use your real name NOT your WATRB's name for the sponsorship form, and also include your home address.
