  • Keane

31(next month),scores for fun for Ireland, couldnt get his place for the premierships bottom team, personally would much prefer Graham but it appears he is coming to us on a one year loan deal, how do others feel about this,I suppose he is a lot better than who we have already.

would be biggest signing we've made in terms of high profile since Wilkins signed in 80s

keane is somebody who would work hard for the team. and he has much more quality than any other striker we have at the club.

                  Lovejoy: "No?!"

Lot better than what we have although im a bit worried after watching him last season...missed sitter after sitter for Wet Spam , think even Hulse would have put a couple of them away!!

On about 70k per week at Spurs.

                        I wont bother going on....

I'd be happy with Keane if he was signed an a season long loan without a fee and paying £30K of his £65K weekly wage.

He looks like a quality striker for Ireland and was good on loan at Celtic and had been in great form for Spurs before he went to Liverpool who messed him.

Just because his loan to West Ham failed it doesn't mean his isn't good enough. West Ham were managed by a manager who was not wanted by the Board and who failed to motivate or manage the players properly. The whole place was down.

Warnock (if still around) will motivate and rejuvenate him as he did with Helguson.

Pretty sure Spurs would prefer to offload him rather than loan him out but we'll see, good signing if true

One Of my favourite premiership players over the last decade I remember seeing him play for Wolves against us when he was a youngun, provided the deal is right I would be happy for us to sign him, hard worker, team player, doesn't seem to moan, enthusiastic and a great footballer who I think still wants to prove he can cut it. I wouldn't take much notice of missing a couple of sitters, no strikers would get a transfer if that was the benchmark! I think with first team football on offer he would be great!
