Love this "party line" quotes. I notice Connors has it too. That one springs up, when you don;t agree with the fans who are waiting for the first mishap to happen and than gloat about it

Why? Should I be taking comfort with the things wrong at the club and start the season feeling pessimistic?

Nothing to with Party Line. If, I ever speak to anyone at the club I always forcefully but politely make my point.

Legs is not good. He can't trap a ball, let alone pass it!

            Plus we cannot score!

Equal worst in the league with the mighty Doncaster!

When you get rid or don't play your best striker, what do you expect?

Getting rid of Dexter Blackstock is a good move Pete.
U do overrate him. He is not the answer and whether is was sousa or the board, it was a good move to get rid of him. He played 8 without scoring so he was hardly showing form. For those who say he was top scorer, I think Cait would of been top scorer if you put her upfront. Let not try and keep Dext just because we have nothing upfront and 2 million would be superb business for us.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

I don't expect an unproven kid of 19 to be given the responsibily himself, of running the line against 4 proven championship defenders.

Well Dexter would of done sod all up there on his own.
He falls over in a mild summer breeze.
We need to sign 2 new strikers otherwise we are waisting our time.
If we keep dexter then it shows zero ambition!

Nor do I, I expected some money to be spent to buy a decent striker at the beginning of the season.

SDC was not the answer but he played the one up front far better than Dex ever could

Which is also why, imo, the appointment of Jim will work out well in regard to expectations. They've been lowered for this season, because he's not a big name, with the majority (of posters at least) saying, "Oh well, not my first choice, plays good football, let's see how we go". It was more down to others not wanting or being "available" for the job than a shrewd appointment but it might mean Jim is given a bit more time and patience.
