JM did reasonably well at Ipswich, and the squad there is poorer than at QPR.
Completely agree, I am positive, have the ST and many T shirts and if the board give JM those three players with the required quality then we will do well.

PS: I have renewed my 3 ST's and I will moan as much as I like.
I have parted with the cash to buy the season ticket. I'll go there like every other year and support my team. I will support Jim till xmas and see where we are at. And if we are in the playoffs and still have a chance of top two i will be happy.
But I will never ever boo inside the loft...does no one any good. I'll try to educate the *****s that surround me. An example comes to mind when we were two nill down against Wednesday....when the *****s started chanting dexters name, and then we go on to win 3-2. Just shows that even when we didn't have anything to play for, there are players there that care and want to be successful and i will support them all the way

Dear "Mr Positive" QblockPete.....I refer you to your negative/anti-Magilton thread from 20th May:

"It will show to me that after 18 months we have not learned from our mistakes. The one thing this club seems to thrive on is an increase of crowds and the good feel factor to return. If we go down the route, the club will get neither. Make no mistake, if Ipswich felt they could trust Jim Magilton with the increased budget, they would not have brought in Roy Keane.

We may have made a rod for our own back with short term appointments and I can see the arguments of not spending money for the sake of it, but we have just come off a bitterly disappointing season, the last thing we need is to feel we have no hope for the next one. Understanding the complexities of the championship and what kind of manager we can attract is difficult to understand, surely in order to make a statement of intent you aim high or certainly higher then a manager who has not had much success at ipswich Town. When are we going to realise that the extra cost of bringing in a top manager, will be balanced out with a vast increase of supporters paying at the turnstiles and even supporters queing for season tickets if they geuninely believed we had an excellent chance of promotion.

This club is a great club, but its slowly becoming a laughing stock. By appointing Jim Magilton it will show that we have gone around in a complete circle to a time when we had John Gregory as manager. When the new owners took over, we believed to a degree all the hype we were given and voted with our feet to watch the team we love. With subsequent increases at the tuirnstiles, we even accepted that someone like iain Dowie could possibly get us promoted.

Why can we not go for a top top manager? Surely, in percentage terms money spent elsewhere in and around the ground is peanuts compared to bringing in a top manager. I often get accused of being a mouthpiece, which is unfair, I also get accused of being told all and sundry what goes on, which is also unfair, but one thing I do is speak on how I feel, which often upsets people. I have defended the club, because I felt that 18 months is no time to make judgements and in the slightest hope that anyone from the board does read this, then I urge you, if Magilton is favourite for the job, to think seriously what you are doing and don't be surprised to see the lowest number of fans for the start of the season game, you have seen for years.

I don't buy the fact he has done well at Ipswich, our ambitions should be way and above a team who have finished 14th, 8th and 9th in the recent 3 years. The fans play a bigger role to this club then maybe given credit for and any feeling or positiveity remaining will quickly be washed away."

        Your comments please, Mr Positive?

Keep the faith Col. We all had doubts about Magic but after consideration I and obviously Pete are willing to show some faith.

I'm just tired of all the negativity Dan. I just wish some of my fellow "fans" would show some support and loyalty to the club.

Less than 3 weeks, and you've done a complete U-turn. I'm just suggesting you take a more considered view of posters who dare to question the "party line" as you were clearly one of us before you flip-flopped back into line.

Think most expressed that opinion beforehand? Some people talked negtively about Sousa in reports, but the moment he left it was like it was never said? Point is, it does no-one any good to moe around and go to games thinking we have no hope. You might want to be like that and might undermine the effect supporters play at games, but if we go around feeling sorry for ourselves than we really have no hope of success. I'm not over the moon about Jimmy Magilton being manager, but its a start of a new season and everyone needs to be little bit more optimisitc. As for towing the party line, thats all just spotuing ******** for the sake of it. Haven't spoke to any at the club since the football in the community event a week after the season ended.

I havent seen anything lately as negative as the 'Sousa Out' campaign last season.

I think we would have been in a much better position now to progress if he had been given a fair crack.

Still, you all wanted him out, hope your all happy.

(and i truly hope that you were right, but atm, i think you were wrong wrong wrong!!!!)

More than a bit rich, this thread.

Still, people like to be told what to think by lifes natural leaders, I suppose. ;D

Pete has used the time the players have been away to be a bit vocal of all things wrong at W12, but he now has to revert back to "party line", as the players are back soon and he wants to keep his access all areas pass open.

This is my first post .. and I have read this forum for quite some time now and i thought it was best to join and maybe give some input ..

What I would like to say is that I do feel that everyone does have the right to be negative about the club and then positive when things do go right ..

                              Although ..

I do feel that we should all feel very lucky and happy to think that the club we all love is now in a great position where it can say .. "we have a very, very strong chance of making the premiership"

To think not long ago we was nearly relegated back to league 1 and then got taken over and all our worry's went away .. Im 20 years old and I haven't seen many good days at QPR since the drop from the top flight, and personally Im quite happy with everything!

Ok yes, season tickets are a tad expensive, yes we keep chopping and changing, but unless we start believing and backing the new boss then we wont acheive our goals!

I wasnt overly happy with JM being put in charge but he hasnt done to bad since becoming a manager and the team he curretnly has isnt to far off being the best in the league!

Lets all see what happens and start thinking postive and stop going on about things that really dont matter ...

                              YOU R'SSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I allways try to be positive, but all the negativity has really started to annoy me! Know matter how positive you are people are allways gonna moan.....

Infact im still hugely positive about next season, a couple of key signings and i really believe we could get promoted! But trying to tell that to some people on here is like getting blood out a stone!!
Cant believe it, ive been PWOPER MUGGED ORF...
