Why is it that that all the doom and gloom merchants who supposedly support our club come out this time of year ?
Before you start tell me you have supported the club for 30 years etc. I don't care. Get over yourself.
I have followed this great club for many many years, however, our achievements over the past twelve months will be the first time that some of our fans will have had the chance to see their team play in the top flight of football.
So why turn it into a depressing time ? Moan, moan, bloody moan.
So may experts out there. Slate Palidini, slate Briatore. Whether you like it or not these guys have made our club successful once again. (for the record I disagree with their approach much of the time but they have produced the goods, end of).
As per last year, the same people moaning about lack of player purchases. In the coming weeks it will turn to slating the players we buy. Do you ever learn ? You ended up with egg on your face this time last year and you are going and make the same mistakes again. Trust Neil Warnock, trust Briatore, trust Ecclestone. They are WINNERS !
Stop moaning about ticket prices. Yes they have gone up but we will see a significantly improved product next season. The reallity of the Premiership is that you pay a premium to watch the quality of football. Our existing players have earned the right to earn more money.
If you decide to not go because the prices are too high (even though you have the money) then so be it. You will be replaced by someone who does want to pay. Is it an issue that you have supported the team for many years and been replaced by a Johnny Come Lately ? If you are a moaning fan, then absolutely not and good riddance.
I know a number of people who don't support QPR (and have never really supported any team) that are looking to buy season tickets next season. They are enthused by their local team being in the Premiership. So should we all be.
Get behind this great club, cut the crap and enjoy QPR being back in the Premier League. Long may we stay there.
P.S. Will almost certainly come in for slating from a number on here but would prefer to be in the minority and be right !
Good post !!
I personally couldn't give a flying f'''''k about the circus that surrounds Briatore , Paladini , Bernie and the Mittals .
Its the 11players in the blue and white hoops that i love !!
Nor do I care about how THEY decide to run something that THEY own .
For the record I have been a season ticket holder for 12 years and will continue to be next season .I strongly disagreee with the increases next year but somehow I will scrape the money together to follow my team
I am happily married with a family I adore HOWEVER .... NOTHING WILL EVER TOP THE FEELING ( FOOTBALL RELATED) I HAD WHEN ADEL LIFTED THAT TROPHY IN MAY AND PUT US BACK ALONGSIDE THE BIG BOYS AGAIN !!
That would not have happened without the money (yes it is loaned to us ) from Briatore , Bernie and Mittal .... FACT !!
For now I am prepared to let the club run its course and what will be will be .
I feel sorry for those that are priced out of following the R's but sadly that is the way Prem football has gone and it aint gonna change overnight .
exactly..as i see it the club has given us exactly what we all asked for Premiership football and once again they want it for free...when we were in league 1 they weren't going to pay extra until we were in the championship..when we were in the bottom half of the championship they weren't going to pay until we were in the the top half or the play offs and now we are in the prem they aren't going to pay unless we have signed everyone our so called rivals want to sign buy the end of the first week in June!!!
some people are never happy and never will be happy!
We don't want it for free you ejit! We want reasonable prices and these are not reasonable considering the state of the stadium and the squad.
i aint had a sniff of joe tex in nearly four weeks so im entitled to be grouchy n a tad peeved at our lack of activity...its on par with me............inactive:impatient:
Why is it that that all the doom and gloom merchants who supposedly support our club come out this time of year ?
Before you start tell me you have supported the club for 30 years etc. I don't care. Get over yourself. Pot, Kettle, Black seems to spring to mind
I have followed this great club for many many years, however, our achievements over the past twelve months will be the first time that some of our fans will have had the chance to see their team play in the top flight of football. Not everyone will get the chance to watch us this is the point.
So why turn it into a depressing time ? Moan, moan, bloody moan. Because on top of the FA Hearing which Paladini was responsible for many fans dream of watching us in the PL has been taken away due to being completely by being priced out; along with the utter despair due to the contempt the Board is showing fans again but maybe all this has somehow passed you by.
So may experts out there. Slate Palidini, slate Briatore. Whether you like it or not these guys have made our club successful once again. (for the record I disagree with their approach much of the time but they have produced the goods, end of). How can you say that, personally I think it was Warnock who made our club successful, these ***** had as languishing dangerously close to relegation with interference and **** poor transfer dealings.
Some fans got it wrong and some in more spectacular fashion than others but this is by needs a reason to trust 2 individuals who are effectively thieving the money out of our pockets. How you ever compare trusting Warnock to these 2 individuals is beyond me.
Stop moaning about ticket prices. Yes they have gone up but we will see a significantly improved product next season. The reallity of the Premiership is that you pay a premium to watch the quality of football. Our existing players have earned the right to earn more money. This is the most i.diotic thing you have said in the post. What exactly is the superior product, watching you're team get turned over every week by better teams???. I think before you can start seeing the superior product lets see the colour of their money on transfer fees because thats what it will take to make the product more superior. I do not get excited about watching the 'superstars' of the PL strutting their stuff at LR, I get excited about us being competitive week in week out. I have paid a lot of money by comparison to other NPC clubs for what I believed would be a better product for 2 seasons before the individuals you are lavishing praise on stepped aside for men of good integrity to direct us towards our PL dream and even Paladini nearly ****ed that up!
Again this is a ridiculous thing to say and you make yourself sound like a prize pillock. I have the money to renew, the cost is not an issue. However, it won't just cost me a grand will it, it will be another £2,3,4k?? following what might be an underinvested QPR squad struggling in the PL. It is becoming a calculative decision to renew, not only that there are a lot of suppoters out there not renewing based on principal now like Brian Rowe (former QPR marketing director) and his 22 family members who have held ST's for decades.
I know a number of people who don't support QPR (and have never really supported any team) that are looking to buy season tickets next season. They are enthused by their local team being in the Premiership. So should we all be. They are a bunch of cants who will price real QPR fans out long term and will disappear the moment it all goes wrong, worringly you can't see that.
Get behind this great club, cut the crap and enjoy QPR being back in the Premier League. Long may we stay there. What if we don't stay there though, how many fans would we have completely alienated who we will need during difficult times when all you're new fans **** off back to Fulham orn Chelsea? Do you honestly believe ST prices will drop if we are relegated, try looking at what will happen in the future. If we do well, moe fans I have no doubt will be priced out further, if it goes wrong we may have still lost 000's if 0000's by that point in time, which would be too late.
P.S. Will almost certainly come in for slating from a number on here but would prefer to be in the minority and be right ! Thats because you come across as a condescending prat Conners who has managed to insult virtually our whole fan base in one thread.
Rather unimpressed with this attention seeking thread, many issues I haven't even mentioned others no doubt will fill in the gap. I'm not blind to see why prices etc are increased, when the initial price increases happened I could see why it needed to happen. In the Championship I even thought my Platinum ST represented pretty decent VFM and I've upset a few in the past by stating this...but this is different IMO!
What is worrying is the dangerous game fans like you can't see what the Board is playing, we will lose a lot of fans and this no doubt wll replace them. I'm sure it won't bother you to see block bookings of Japs sitting where former ST holders once were but IMO we need to be doing all we can to preserve our loyal fanbase and some reward for this would be nice.
In the past fans have moaned for the sake it, when there Gold or Silver ST's represented £20-25 per match respectively I thought many were complaining un-necessarily even though a few would have been priced out but we are talking about a completely different wage bracket fans need to be in to go to matches now and this is just the start of it....where does it end!

superb post w12 ranger.
some people really need to see the bigger picture, when the s/t prices came out they were about what i was expecting my s/t has gone up to £649 a rise of £200, that i can live with to see us compete in the premier league.
what has really angered me is the little greedy add ons like having to purchase a membership on top, credit card charges, and most of all the 9000 cap and the walk up prices tell me everything, it tells me they really aren't interested in the likes of me and you and our hardcore support imo they see us as a hindrance to the direction they want to take our club in.
they want to fill our ground with thousands of tourists with there happy clappy sticks, tourists that will all bye a programme all bye the food and more than likely spend a hell of a lot more in the club shop than the likes of us fans who are there week in week out year after year.
not just a one off visit whilst visiting london. for me the very low 9000 cap tells me all i need to know.

I just find myself facing a real dilema Hanwell, on the one hand I don't want to give my ST up but I sit in an area which not only costs an arm and leg I am risk at being surrounded by the real prawn sandwich brigade. Platinum is full of loads of old skool Rangers fans you probably know, I believe between 50%+ wil move to Gold Areas next season. The pricing structure to me has been set up to price us out and sell premium matchday tickets. The block tourist bookings are happening thats not made up I have that on good authority. The atmosphere next season is going to be killed once and for all at LR I fear.
I'm just hoping the natives get a little restless and make it not a very unpleasant place to visit next season for the likes of Conner's mates. There was some evidence of this at the Leeds match, we are not Fulham, our fans are simply not that hospitable.
You are right about the little add ons as well, at every little turn the club are looking to tuck the fans up and its a ****ing liberty. Many saw it coming, myself I never thought I'd see these kind off price hikes in a million years, I never thought it would be possible for QPR to charge this. My advice for QPR fans if they are going to renew is to take the Zebra finance option and pay interest free over 4 months because at the end of the day the longer the money is in you're account and not the club the better.
The way things are starting to shape up for the clubs fans I honestly am starting to think the best thing what could happen to us is to get relegated this season and if a few tourists get slapped along the way and protests happen so be it. I can see it turning very nasty over Rangers next season, then the likes of Connors will see just how much fans like being taken for cants to watch this far 'superior product'.
