I hope you would accept I'm not one of these posters who jumps on your back at every opportunity. Indeed, I've often defended you. Nor am I one of the 24/7 moaners. I also accept that a large amount of what appears on such sites is gossip and should be treated as such.

But why, yet again, have you said a deal was done and dusted when it so plainly wasn't? Why not just say we are in negotiations and hopeful? And how can you possibly say it was verbally agreed - either Watford accepted the 2.5 million offer and gave us permission to discuss personal terms with the player or they didn't. If they did then why would Swansea bid 3.5m and why didn't your friend Gianni get it signed and sealed as soon as it was verbally agreed?

I'm afraid none of it makes sense and it reinforces the view that this message board chit chat is scarcely worth replying to from now on.

ps: just to disagree with some of the other owners I don't necessarily think our board should now spend £3.5m on Graham. That's a lot of money and there might be better out there for that. Not defending the monumental c*ck up in not getting the deal done when we had the chance but some people are very quick to spend other peoples money.

If andy Carroll is worth 35m after half a season in the premiership then surely 3.5m ain't that bad?

Just to add, I don't think any player is worth that much and money has ruined the game. but that's for a different discussion. In the modern day crazy world of football, 3.5m Is not extortionate and a gamble worth taking

We all know how this ends....Graham, young exciting ambitious English player desp. to play in the Prem. Perfect signing for us.....goes to Swansea!!!
