  • new season expectations

for me, i expect a few 4 or 5 nils hammerings , hopefully not at home....
we need to win 10 games,12 would be better and draw 6-8 too...
games v swans, wigan, norwich, wba, fulham, bolton, blackburn and wolves will be vital

i expect nothing at lpool, man u,man c,arsenil, chelsea and maybe spuds

everton, villa, stoke (have improved) newcastle, sunnylund all ??? for me

much depends on the squad assembled, the stability of the club and how fans react...

we start on "Nil point", we need 40pts....100 would be better!!:drunk:

I don't expect as many big thrashings as some people are saying, you have to remember we have a far superior GK in Kenny than a lot of these sides that have been walloped recently. We do need to sort out the defense as well though, Paddy won't be able to do it all on his own.

Same as every other club, I'll wait until I see what our team is before making predictions about next season.
Same as Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, & everyone else.

Right now, I'm fairly happy with our midfield and Adel, and the keeper.

And players like HH, Orr, Hall, Connolly, Hill, etc being a big part of the squad.

      That's as it stands now.

I'm steeling myself for a difficult slog to 40ish points. I think we'll do it but there'll be some times when progress will stall; at such times it'll be about holding our nerve and pulling together and looking for next points. I think there's enough about to us to succeed. Perversesly, I think our stuttering progress to the finish line of the Championship over last couple of months gave us a flavour of how to handle the pressure and bounce back after a few hiccups.

i do genuinely feel the mood and unity f the fans going to be key and play an important part , loftus road not a nice ground for home team when the fans are bickering and mood is bad, we need to unite and make it difficult for away teams as on its day lr can be very inhospitable to away teams

really need the fans to unite come first game of season

I hope we don't end up going down with the lowest points ever on record.

That was a joke, I have the feeling who ever we buy, we will not go down and will attract much better players this time next year.

I'm just going to enjoy the ride - admittedly, most of it from the comfort of my armchair (thanks board) and set the PVR to record the entire series of Match Of The Day.

We will beat a top 4 team at home

We will draw to a top 4 team away.

We will beat Fulham at home.

May actually do better than many supporters think. Though of course depends on who we bring in, over next 4-8 weeks.
