  • Season tickets and matchday prices

Does anyone else think that all this is just a ploy to sell as many season tickets as possible??
Massive discounts on matchday prices, huge loyalty points that go towards the purchase of away games!!
Then come middle of july they will release matchday prices that are alot cheaper than we were all lead to believe.
Thats just my thinking about the deception the board always seem to throw us the fans way.
    Anyone else been thinking this??

    I'd say that's possible.
Season tickets look extremely good value when compared to matchday prices.

If they do that, then surely they can be done for false advertising?

They have backed themselves into a corner tbh.

No I would actually say its the complete opposite, hence the reason why Platinum season ticket holders have been priced out.

        You're clearly thinking too hard!

They did offer discounts a couple of years, which clearly ripped off season ticket holders. In the end it was getting ridiculous all the £10 promotions.

problem is this season, they don't have to do that. We are in the premiership and if genuine QPR fans cannot afford them or don't pitch up, they know European fans of the Premiership will or the rich will turn up for a game in London.

I just wish we had a 30,000 capacity. We are punching above our weight in terms of league position. The gloss of promotion has been completely wiped out already. It will oonly get more expensive if we stay in the premiership, get relegated the club will need all the support it can get.

This was a party political broadcast on behalf of Queens Park Rangers Football Club

Anyone who's been a fan of Rangers and can remember life in the premiership before, knows this is total BS and boy are the owners going to be in for a shock when reality hits.

                  1. Just because we are in the prem do they really think they can sell walk up tickets to any tom, **** and harry, can you see what will happen when Chelsea / Fulham / any away fans turn up in Ellerslie Road.

                  2. We can't fill our ground when on tv with £30 ticket prices so how we going to fair with £60 prices

                  3. QPR has a lot of fair weather fans, we sell seats when we are doing well, we are set for a season where our aim is fourth from bottom. People will come out for the big games but not v Wigan on a Monday night in January.

                  4. Our fixtures will be all over the place, we are not going to fill the ground at Midday or 5pm on a Saturday, 8pm on a monday, or even on sundays.

                  5. We have never consistently filled our ground and nor will we do so with these ludicrous walk up prices and the fact that so many families will have been priced out

                  6. It will soon become known very quickly that our match day experience of poor facilities, cramped seats and over crowded concourses and we will be a last choice for any tourists non QPR fans

                  7. Away supporters are going to boycott us for these prices.

A totally unrealistic pricing policy will come back to bite Bernie & Flavio's arses, no doubt about it.
Already, and I do, despite this being mega-rich London blah, blah, blah, recall seeing empty seats at both Arsenal and Chelshyte whenever they appeared on the box.
Affordability, that's what reigns supreme, whatever age, century, epoch, we happen to live in, affordability will decide whether your product will make your profits soar.
Affordability, the more people that can afford what you're selling, the better. The less people can afford to purchase your product, the nearer you go to the wall.
There will never, ever, be enough rich people to outstrip the spending power of the masses, whether the greedy like it, or not.

Interesting chat with a wet span fan on Sunday talking about how he (and so many other ST holders) felt ripped off when they did the regular promotions of tickets for 20 quid, family tickets for reduced sums and even kids for a quid. This was in the premier league so clearly they had trouble selling out there so why will it be any different for us.

Still, at least we are not the only st holders feeling fleeced by Club promos!
