Yes in line with the ticket prices.

That's exactly my point Jas.If teams even in the lower half of the prem are paying top dollar for quality players, our board, not unreasonably, should be expected to compete in the market place, considering the ST and match day ticket hikes. They want their 'kin cake and eat it.Bar stewards.

Oh I agree they should. But I'm simply not taking seriously reports linking us with top players becaue I just don't believe the board will stump up the cash. Warno will be asked to perform miracles again on a shoestring then will be sacked after seven games because - shock, horror - we are third from bottom.

Al-Nasser would be first (top) division in Egypt, I think they're a very big club over there.

We have to set our bar a lot higher. He isn;t even proven at Championshop level, so why would we waste our time on him in the Prem. Saw the highlights of the playoff final and he missed two sitters in the first half.

His old man used to drink in a pub in Watford I used to frequent and he used to come in on Sundays quite alot. For that reason if we were to go in for him then I reckon we'd get him over Norwich on geography being closer to home and all that.

                      Beckford was Everton's top scorer!

We should have signed him a few years ago, he will do really well in the championship, he did well enough last season in a poor team. I don't think he is going to be good enough for the premiership though, he is as brave as anything but technically not great. given the choice of him or DJ cambell or James Beattie i would take him like a shot
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

I thought he looked decent enough for Championship level but would rather Bellamy for the Prem. Bellamy has more pace and better touch.

everton/Wigan also after him - therefore game over. Don't believe we've ever used our so called financial muscle to steal players wanted by other clubs.
