    Escada makes a profit
    QPR makes a loss

valueing QPR is a complicated business

    the ground is worth 20M
    the players worth perhaps 10M
tv rights for next season 40M
    2 x parachute payments 52 M
    say 122 M
    + sponsorship deals
+ estimated matchday revenues for 3 years

    now subtrack
    10M repayment of loan
    existing debts/loans
    cost of running the club
    cost of staff wages
cost of playing staff contracts for next 3 years
    maintenance to the ground etc

then factor in that the club cannot make a profit on existing attendances and the ground cannot really be expanded so additional investment in stadia is required and a more succesful team in order to make the finances work long term

I can see why 2 sides might arrive at widely different valuations
its New Era number 8 i tell thee, bring on the fireworks

sorry been away for a few days but if they are valuing the club at 100Mil this is ludicrous, bernie and Flav paid £600.000 to buy the club and cleard most of the debt except the major loan still hanging over the club of 10Mil. Mittal paid around £150.000 for his 20% stake, surely the value of the club has risen but not to that extent also Bernie brought most of Flavs shares, what worries me is why did'nt the Mittals try to buy the controling stake then. or was there a power struggle going on then with Flav not wanting to give them full control.I personally want Berie gone he has no interest in QPR (his word not mine) but now wants to exploite supporters and the club for his/their gain sooner Bernie-Flav & G.P gone the better, I except they saved the club but in 3 years in charge thet have dragged this club through the dirt more in the last 3 years than the last 129 years put together.wheather it be Mittals/Mallya or who else I want someone in charge who has the club and fans at heart.

Lol! Where did you get those figures from?

Not sure what the circus paid as there was a large debt but Mittals paid 1.6m for 20 percent!

Peter G, good post I think impossible to evaluate based on long term we need to move and the cost investment of that will be high, but from the Mittals view you have to look at what they could buy more established prem clubs like Newcastle for with structure and fan base already in place

i dont think the Mittals have any interest in buying Newcastle
why would they want thousands of fat geordies breathing down their neck
this is a west london thing
abramovich wouldnt buy a northern club and nor would the mittals nor would bernie
they all live in chelsea and qpr are a sexy club
plus the potential to develop the bbc site makes for an in interesting business project
its not really about football its about having a toy in a good location

i am a bit wary that the mittals are conducting a rather crafty pr campaign to destabilise the club.a common practice when buying a commodity

then again bernie didnt get where he is today by being too sensitive to his customers

really dont know who to trust
            am watching with interest

NW is probably the best source of `telling it how it is`

Amit clearly has fallen in love with club,I believe they have consider the fans, Flav and Bernie just dont care about the club at all. I have not missed a home game for year, however I have decided not to go to another home game until they have gone, i refuse to give them one more penny !!!

Pretty sure I heard that parachute payments now run for four years.

Stanley just said on Tv parachute money is 4 years!

Bobby it doesn't matter if they have an interest in buying Newcastle or not it's about comparing Value for Value.

Chelsea also had the structure in place and were already in the champions league and Man united weren't for sale!
