  • Peter Crouch

Ok, firstly I am NOT itk and never will be! But my mate text me earlier saying Crouch has signed for us and waiting for july to be announced. Now my mate has heard this from his friend who is a coach at spurs. (a mate of a mate yeh yeh!!) Now I'm not even sure I believe him, would be a dream signing and I cant see us making one of those even though Crouchy is a fan and I could imagine him taking a paycut to join us. But surely he would cost in the region of £7million, maybe £5mil but still that is A LOT of money for us to spend on 1 player. Just passing on what I have heard

Would love it to be true, but not a chance! One of the top goal scorers in England's history. no chance he will be with us this summer. More chance of people like Leon Clarke!
First game: Arsenal vs Queen's Park Rangers at Highbury, Saturday 17th November 1984.

his name has been mentioned a fair amount on here but probably just wishfull thinking. Like you say would be a dream signing if true. You never know the board may have developed and conscience and feel they owe the fans a major signing, or at least want to appease the masses

I'll admit my mate does know that I really like Crouch so possible windup but I doubt it and he doesnt think his friend at spurs would lie. But I really cant see this coming true, I'll only believe it when I see him holding hoops shirt up on the official! It's no secret spurs want new strikers though

You are a good & genuine poster so hope no one hammers you for that as you are only passing on what you've been told, but to echo previous posts never in a month of Sundays would we sign Crouchy.

If I'm wrong I will buy you beers every game for the whole season :drunk:

If we had signed Crouch they would announce it ASAP to help ST sales.

Oh how I wish that was true! It wouldn't be so painful paying out the extra for a season ticket if it was

I cant imagine we will get a big name like Crouch at Loftus Road this season..BUT!! I do remember the Sky Sports camera catching him on camera in the crowd when we played one of our home games a month or so ago. Not sure if it was the Derby game or Sheffield United one.. I wonder why he was there watching us. Soft spot for us since he played for us before perhaps?????

I believe this, GP has always wanted him here, and PC has always expressed an interest in coming back.
                      Kept the faith!

Bellamy took the cut going back to Cardiff, i suppose it would be like that but better as Crouchy even gets to stay in the Prem.

Listening to Tony Incenzo the other night pissing himself with laughter at messageboards linking us with players like Crouch...

Overrated and don't fancy him back. Will lead to long balls style.
