  • Take it easy and enjoy the good times!

I see a lot of fans venting their frustration on the various message boards now in light of all news coming from the board room of QPR. I see some much supported posters also pulling out completely and others stating that they cannot any longer enjoy the onfield success we are having at the moment.

I think it is time to put the situation into perspective. The way I see it is simply two owners being right in the middle of a normal, business like process of determining the right price for the shares. Bernie (and Flavio) wants to sell and Mittal wants to buy. The initial offer, if quotes from the media are to be believed, is £50m for the outstanding 67% shares up for sale. It is mentioned somewhere than Bernie wants £100m - but supposedly none of us know, really. However, I feel pretty sure Bernie wants to sell - todays email backs this point of view.

When a sales process in any company of great public interest is going on, media plays an important role, and the two respective groups of owners try to make most out of it, by launching their respective PR campaigns. The sacking of Sahksena and the withdrawal of Amit from the board is part of the the fight. I do not think we should let ourselves be distracted from it. We should let the owners sort out their price arguments - it will come to a conclusion, but it will probably take some time. If I should guess, they will find some middle ground and meet at £75m after some more noise. In the meantime Warnock has all shareholders backing and probably a fair budget in order to strengthen the team.

We should count ourselves very happy having two rich owners fighting out whom should own QPR. Most other supporters of small clubs like ours would cut off the leg in order to be in our position - having reached the promissed land and having financially strong owners.

I admit the owners make us look like a soap opera from time to time, but I don't care - it seems to be part of the package of supporting QPR - never a dull moment. What is most important though: We are Premier League and we have Warnock! What a bloody good time to be a QPR fan!

By my reckoning QPROslo has it just about right.

I've booked my seat for the premier league extravaganza, and I'm counting the minutes and seconds until kick-off.

Good post and agree with you. Cant get away from the fact the prices are still way OTT though, IMO.

I hate to see any loyal season ticket holders being priced out of the market! We all knew the Premiership would be expensive, now we've found out how much and it hurts! In saying this as a longtime fan from far away I can't wait for the return to the big league! Oslo makes some great points, it's never been easy to support this club but we all stick with it! I guess not being a STH I'm on the outside looking in but when I come over for a match or two it costs me lots of money! Most of you are close so travelling isn't the issue, please enjoy what we have!

Oslo, you are right, you think things are bad now, you won't believe what this place will be like come mid-september, you will need every ounce of faith to even read the stuff that is gonna swamp this board. For every one optimist (yours truly) there are 40 whingers, moaners, complainers and doom and gloomers, and "I told you so'ers" try to handle that for one year and we'll see if you still enjoy being a rangers supporter at the end of the season. There is a reason why the term "whingeing Pom" was created, because it is true. Good luck, mate. Hang in there.
