  • the reality is...

many will renew, the prem lge will lure us into renewing, also that we are qpr
and it's our team, our club and we've been thru so much...sadly some will be priced out or attend fewer games....we knew prices would go up, i felt £100 would be ok...it's double that
and 40% on top of the previous 30-50% 2 yrs back.

    what's improved?
SAR we've long lost our members bar and now platinum have lost their bar too
they have given us a screen, well i can't see it from the back of f block and it's probably a requirement for prem lge?? and we have new scoreboards....wowsers.
we've had seats removed for c-club ( and this can bring in huge revenues)
exec boxes done up and are now £60k a season or something but few of us will have one of them
we know the ground is small, no leg room etc..we know face even more crowded concourses as no bars in SAR and there are a few punch ups due to being bumped etc...ALL THE IMPROVEMENTS have been not for the fans but for corporate areas ( but these bring in huge revenues) the club have been gearing up for the prem lge and big games and corporate is vital, BUT SO ARE THE FANS.
oh, ellerslie rd has had the tv gantry extended, how will this affect views over there?? again not for the fans but for tv and that's huge revenues
i use the word revenue a lot and in one way i am hinting the club could've used these sources of revenue to minimise the increases to season tickets
we are up in the top bracket of prices in the prem lge...

i will hold back renewing but will do so, just gonna swallow the bitter pill
( some may say ,you don't have too...true but football is addictive, they know it and it's a near captive audience) and crack on.
i hope qpr establish a youth academy and invest in training ground facilities and build for the future.
already the new faces have changed the atmosphere and feeling around the club, after the leeds game a qpr "fan" in milk cup final shirt asked who howard winton was??
    incredible....

I said something in a similar vein on another thread but I can’t understand people not wanting to renew out of some principal. Principal over what? You’re a qpr fan and you’ve got the chance to watch them in the premier league. Something that we’ve all been waiting for bloody ages! And people don’t want to renew because of the dwarf, his orange buddy and paladini!! It beggars belief. If you can’t afford the prices, go 50:50 with someone. It’s not ideal but you get to support your team. I have spent too long watching us play average teams dreaming of the day when we can play the so-called big boys again. Who cares what goes on in the board room. Will they be there forever? No, soon as someone comes along with a good price, they’ll be off. The same can be said for the players and yes even neil Warnock. We’ll still be here and I for one am going to bloody enjoy next season irrespective of who we sign or don’t sign. The last few games of the season took it out of me, I didn’t enjoy them because of the whole points deduction saga and the fact that the points were everything and we were so close to going up. Now, we can go to games knowing that we’ve got very little chance of getting something but at least we can give some abuse to barry (England, you’re having a laugh mate), those Chelsea big time fairies…..and imagine how you’ll feel if we do start picking up points and doing better than you expected…..

we have the choice, i am unhappy some may be priced out.....especially those i know
it's a recession except in the football world!!!

if clubs were made to pay back the banks, and then the banks pay back the taxpayers
      maybe things would be different.
for younger fans, they have not seen the prem lge, maybe not seen us v top teams or been the grounds and that may be true of many others, whatever their age...
once again qpr mbs are full of negatives , it just never stops for us fans.
we can't enjoy our biggest achievement as club (arguably) yet norwich party for runners up?

I think it was Richard Brindsley Sheridan who once said, "'twas never easy supporting the Rangers, but by God, it's a Herculean task now."

        Or words to that effect.

But yes, things never run smoothly for a QPR supporter.
