    Derisory?

£50m for a 62% stake would value the club at, what, about £85m? A few years ago we were worth about five or ten million. That's not a bad offer.

And how on earth do some fans think the Mittels became rich? By every time they are faced with a business decision they just say "oh this money means nothing to us, tell you what, lets pay double..."

And Ecclestone didnt get rich by selling stuff half price.
100 million might seem like a lot to us-it is nothing to them.
They can offset losses against their global business profits.

We are a Premier League club now and that changes everything.
Mittel could have had the club for 50million or much less a year ago maybe.

And he coud have had it for nothing a few years back.
Ecclestone might be short but he aint stupid.
He saw we were cheap and he had a punt.
Now that we are in the Premier League he must feel that Mittel is trying it on.

Mittel has other agendas involving selling the club brand in India.
He has no more interest in the football side than Ecclestone.

This is a big business project for both of them.

what are you talking about. We're a London club. Players like to come to London, The mittals became rich because labour in India is about as expensive as dirt.

This is the reason why I think the Mittals will win the ongoing battle within the club.
          They will splash the cash,eventually.....

Sorry what are YOU talking about?

I'm saying that when the takeover happened it was worth about £10m, we have only gone up one league. If Newcastle is valued at £70m that makes us worth £30m more than them - which even taking into account their debt is a bit far fetched.

As for how the Mitals made their money, so what in this context? Even if it was easy for them - though clearly not so easy seeing as only four other people in the world have managed to make more - does that mean they are going to be in any hurry to give it away? If you don't understand how hard businessmen like that bargain then with the greatest respect you don't understand much about business.
