Hi name was Chris Wright and our great club nearly went bust in my opinion due to his poor financial mismanagement of the club. Remember the youngsters who were on two million a year or Mike Sheron anyone?
Before Chris Wright we had Richard Thompson who was held in seemingly the same regard and with the same contempt by fans as Bernie and Flavio despite keeping the club on a sound financial footing and competing in the premiership for many years on a modest income.
My point is it really doesn't matter if our 100 percent owners are scarf wearing QPR fanatic as long as they have a proven track record no (pun intended) and know how to financially manage the club. Bernie and Flavio have got a few quid haven't they so they can't have done badly in business. Bernie and Flavio saved this club and were here before the Mittals. I agree with those who don't like Ecclestones comments about Chelsea etc. But as long as he keeps our balance sheets in line and there no repeat of administration, whilst competing in the top 14 of the Premiership who can complain?
If QPR is just a business to them it will be for the better decisions will be made with head rather then heart. The Mittals for all their professed love for QPR affered peanuts for the club if what has been written is true, shrewd business men like Bernie and Flavio are not going to accept peanuts. Thea idea of a protest is laughable what will it achieve? Will just make us look like idiots of the Mittals can't afford the club.
Be carefull what you wish for Bahtia appears to be very good at fan PR spin pretty much like Ian Holloway was when he was our manager convincing us he was doing a great job and had no money despite having the bigggest budget in league one. Slightly off topic but I would say to everyone relax see who we sign, see where we are after ten games and then worry if needs be. I am happy this club has shrewd business men at the helm.
