  • Laying my cards on the table

Sod it...might as well chuck in my 2 pennies worth.

Mittals looked like buying out Flavio. Ishan comes in, we have lovely press conferences etc etc - I think, you think, heck Flavio thinks they're buying shares.

    They dont.

Amit, Ishan, Bernie, Flavio, QPR as a whole led us ALL a merry lie about wtf was going on for quite a whilst!!!!!!

Flavio cant afford to bank roll the club anymore (he personally was losing money hand over fist keeping us going* ), the mittals turned out to be full of it so he sells to his mate bernie.

*on that, i hate the twunt but well, it HAS been him for the vast vast majority who has got us promoted ££wise - its him who paid all the bills.

BERNIE creates stability at our club, BERNIE allows the manager to manage, he fires all the dead wood - and plums like ali russell.

As the mittals never put their money where they're mouth (and smiles) are he rules with an iron fist. For months and months the mittals influence has been marginalised at QPR, lots of "their" staff gone, less free seats in the c-club etc etc. Indeed, I was probably at Loftus Road more often than Ishan was over the last few months. It's been Bernies people running the shop with GP as the buffer between Warnock and the board. Make no mistakes this is Bernie's club and it's been Bernie who has taken us to where we are.

Amit certainly has the QPR bug and, my gut feeling, is that he genuinely thought he could get daddy in law to buy earlier on in this "process". For whatever reason that didn't happen. But, if I was Bernie and especially if I was Flavio I would think that Amit and the Mittals are completely full of sh*t.

Now with Amit (not Mittal) owning half the ground he personally has a big old stake in this club. And I most certainly would like him to take over. Him and his teams commercial aspects at QPR arent proven (with all the commercial deals and ground improvements funded by BE and to an extent FB) BUT I am sure having met and even got pished with the guy on several occasions that he would be an amazing co-owner/chairman whatever of this club.

The crux of it as that daddy in law has finally said, OK, lets buy. FFS just probably hearing his name sung and seeing the reception on SA Road was enough for him to go...ok...have £100million and see what we can do!

Amit/Mittal have tried to buy...Bernie has other offers on the table...and he "probably very flipantly" lol goes...er, yeah been here before lads...£100 mill and its yours....now, go away. I doubt board meetings have been much more than "ok we'll give you £50million", Bernie then goes "just popping to the toilet"...walks straight out and gets a chopper to Barca.

Amit is a very very clued up bunny re fans and fans responses and I'll share something here that maybe I shouldnt. Months and I mean MONTHS before anyone had heard of Ishan he approached me in a pub after a game. Introduced himself as a "business associate" of Amits and started chatting about getting fans back onside, improving the club etc etc. He even knew my name...that night I saw him do the same to LSA reps, FOQPR reps, Offy Supporters Clubs reps etc etc.

He was on a fact finding mission.

People close to Amit are even posters on here.

Amit/Ishan and the Mittals CAN be the dream team. They've done so so so much RIGHT. And I genuinely genuinely believe that they are fans of sorts and want us to be a succesful, profitable family club.

Amits annoucement yesterday was timed, 100%, top conincide with pished off people on messageboards and the club inundated with calls and emails.

The crux of it is that they need Mr Mittal to put up what Bernie wants and put it up now. Else he might as well just sell his stake, wave goodbye and just buy a few season tickets.

One thing is for sure, Amit, you've got the fans with you..but you wont beat Bernie on a hostile takeover..he dont give a sh*t....its all about the moola mate.

A PS..I need to read the FA report in full but, it looks to me that Gianni cocked up. Not thru anything dodgy - far from it..far far from it. But certainly he should never be involved in paper work ever ever again at least!

"BERNIE creates stability at our club, BERNIE allows the manager to manage, he fires all the dead wood - and plums like ali russell"

Usual one sided official line claptrap spouted out by one of GP's buddies.

The whole post fell down at that point - you see he left one plum at the helm - one who didn't even bother showing a letter to the club secretary or the clubs lawyers. A letter that cost the club a record FA fine - a share of the FA's costs, not to mention our own legal bill. A bill that has to met by guess who ultimately - the fans.. And that doesn't even take into account the anguish caused to all the fans during the last week of the season. All caused by one man and one man alone - all there in black and white for all to see.

How anyone can even begin to defend the bloke anymore is beyond belief.

            GP OUT!

Well done Scott. Best summary I have read and gives a very balanced account rather that the hysterical "Amit is the second coming/ Bernie is the anti-Christ" view that is prevelant on here. Also agree re the timing of Amit's announcement he is playing the fans like a banjo.

What chance - if any - do you think there still is that Mittel will stump up enough cash to tempt Bernie?

                    Good post Mate.

I think now we know Bernie is in control I just hope he takes a bit more interest in the club and not sell the shares back to the Orange one.

Bernie has said he backs NW, i hope he gives him at least one year in the prem and buy some players to keep us there.

At the end of the day he wont sell for less then what he wants and as a very well off person he doesn't need to.

We must also remember he put his money when we were not very good.

Ecclestone is a businessman. He will invest the minimum to gain maximum profit, then sell the club in 12 months showing a huge profit on the books. Therefore driving up his share price and walking away with a tidy sum in his back pocket. Thats all he and Flav have ever been interested in.

The Mittals bought in as a favour, got the bug and would probably do enough to keep us in the Prem perm. along with the odd cup run here and there.

I just cant see Ecclestone spending £40m on new players to keep us in this league. It will be interesting to see what the next few weeks bring...an influx of new players or nothing at all.

Just how I see it mate,

and re the new poster rantin about GP - a) he's really not the issue today but b) despite him being a mate that FA hearing (from skimming it) shows, to me at least, that he should never be allowed near a piece of paperwork again!

I will read the whole 80 pages later

It's still an agenda, if it suited Paladini then it suits WATRB whether its positive or not. I suggest you read David McIntyes article.

Whilst youu are here you might want to contributre to my thread.

Oh really? Care to comment on the whispering campaign that got our CEO the sack?

Or calculate exactly how many season tickets need to be sold to pay for the FA fine/FA Costs/Our legal bill/Interest free loans/Previous contract **** ups.

Sorry don't buy this whole GP isn't really the issue today malarky - fact is his actions have contributed to all of it.
