  • I dont see an issue - fair ST price and so what Amit's gone?

    ST

We all knew there would be a big price increase, Premier League prices in London are much more expensive than what the cost is in the Championship.

If we bring in some big players and perform well, then I will be enjoying my saturdays at Loftus Road.

    £200 increase for me....

only down side no early bird offer.

    Amit

So he has resigned.... what is the issue? What has he done over the last 12 months? It may have been a lot or it may have been nothing? REally not aware as he has been very quiet, media wise, over the last year.

If it is Flav and Bernie from now one... suggest we give them a chance to show us what they mean for the future. Most clubs in the world would welcome them.

Another angle.... Mittals are playing a game and this is a negotiating position in attempt to acquire the club from flav and bernie.....

I will wait in interest to see if anything develops.

Cup half full for me boys..... we're queens park rangers, we're premier league!

give them a chance, you was there when we had a new manager every fortnight, and who bought in Warnock, not bernie or flav.

b0llocks to bernie & flav, will never back them or give them another chance.

we should all have sore ####'s because we are getting shafted all over again.

What about £47 to watch reading or Wigan can you justify that, season ticket prices ain't too bad it works out £34 a game for x block but £47 on the door is a disgrace

But Bernie trust that Warnock is the man to take the club forward!

For me that is a good sign. Forget about Price Charming(the orange one):=B:

You don't see an issue. Here's MY issue. I didn't have a ST last season but ended up going to all but 3 home games and 6 away games. Generally, I bought £30 tickets in Ellerslie Road's V block (or as near to it as I could get). As I understand it, I have very little chance of being "allowed" to buy a season ticket this time. Last season's loyalty counts for nothing. So now it seems I am expected to pay nearly £60 per match if I am indeed unable to get my hands on one of these limited availability season tickets. So just about a 90% rise in price. To watch Arsenal/Chelsea/Man Utd/Liverpool? I MIGHT reluctantly accept that, but I daresay it'll be hard to guarantee a ticket for any of those matches. But to watch the R's play Wigan? Wolves? Blackburn? Bolton? ********. It's not a 90% better product than last year's offering and it's basically nothing more than a ****-take.

Is that Gregory Goodridge in your photo?

I wasnt aware of the match day price..... nearly £50 hey.... seems a bit heavy if there is not any match category for the season. Sure £50 is fine for the man u's and arsenal's.... but cant see many spending that for wigan's of the prem!

Like I said, personally I dont have an issue with the ST price for myself...... not delighted by the extra £200 - £250 fee but I will get on with it and renew.

football is a bit like smoking... if you have the money, you pay it! price elasticity of demand!

Predicted attendance vs. Wigan/Bolton/Blackburn etc., especially for midweek games:

11,000 MAX: the season ticket holders who turn up and a few others. Who the hell would pay the best part of £60 to sit in a 'gold' part of Ellerslie, for example, to watch that?

And if I were you..... I would be furious! You have a valid point re loyalty points and they should have taken that into account.

How come you didnt buy a season ticket last year or a half season ticket? you must have spent a small fortune!

                            I didn't buy a season ticket because:
when my son was born during the 2005-06 season I resolved that would be my last season ticket for a while because spending chunks of that many weekends not watching him grow up didn't feel right[/LIST]nothing about the few seasons before the last one had made me change my mind about that

Then, of course, we started winning and winning and I couldn't stay away. I know plenty of other who did/felt the same.

I didn't buy a half season ticket 'cos they sold out too fast

So I'd resolved to buy a season ticket for next season and will still do so if possible, because I don't think they are too bad a deal. My anger is NOT about season ticket prices. But I think I've understood that the number of season tickets available next season is as follows:

the number sold last season + a few hundred more

I also gather that the few hundred more will be available to a few thousand members. So, chances are, I won't be able to get one. So, to rock up to games without a season ticket and to sit near my dad and other people I know (V block), I will be expected to fork out almost £60. I could actually afford it. I'm fortunate enough to earn a fair bit more than average. However, my gut feeling is that just because I COULD afford such prices does not mean that I WILL choose to pay up. A 90% rise is just not on.

I've had periods of having a season ticket for consecutive years and periods of going to LR quite infrequently (e.g. when living abroad for 4 years). Overall, though, I think I've been an above averagely loyal QPR supporter, following in the footsteps of my dad, granddad and great granddad. Today I feel the club has taken the **** one time too many and I feel a bit silly for having got my now 5 year old boy so hyped up about going to see the Rs play in the Premier League with me next season.

Too be honest when I drafted it I knew it would cause stir......

but I have waited for 15 years (been a ST holder for 23 years) to watch us back in the Premier League and cant be bothered to be moan about prices.... so I would prefer to remain positive and think of the things I have been waiting for, for 15 years! Afterall we may be relegated this time next year.

This should be a time of celebration - so I will enjoy the summer and not let prices get in the way of that.... end of the day nothing we can do!

Re Amit - I do not think this is the last we will hear of him and Mittal!
I am convinced this is a negotiating tactic by the Mittal.... in his statement he said the mittals will not sell their stake, so says to bernie and flav I have stepped down but we are not going away! Secondly he announces the mittals we in talks about buying the club...... do you think mittals like to admit defeat? I think not, so why announce it.... thirdly stepping down now gives a great PR message that the mittals love the club but disagree with the ST prices......... if they do acquire the club then the fans will see them to be the saviour and not the devil who were part of the ST price increase.

Are bernie and flav that bad? bernie is a bit of joker i think when interviewed! I really take his negative comments with a pinch of salt! Flav.... well maybe he has learnt from his mistakes of before... warnock seems to speak highly of him.... dont forget flav had never been involved with football before joining us...

I am waiting to see how this develops before I make an emotional abuse statement about them!

Watch this space as I am sure there will be more news to follow

PS why are the mittals loved by the fans.... what have they done during their time at qpr?

PPS everyone says qpr was the fans club..... when was qpr ever owned by the fans? if they fans want to own the club.... all you need to do is arrange a balance transfer of £100m to bernie and co ... simple

PPS if you do make that £100m transfer.... please ensure you have £1b in your bank account as the fans expect tickets to be priced under £20 per game, £50m transfer kitty, no wage cap, and for the players to meet and greet before and after each game.
