  • Now I just want to cry...

I've just got onto the online booking line to have a look at our renewl details.
Josie's seat is available and is "offered" at the concession price as she is registered blind.
My seat, as her carer, which is next to her, is deemed unavailable and I cannot purchase it!
So where the hell do I sit?
Josie can barely see, she needs me there -- why can't I renew my seat next to her?

I am just so close now to saying sod it now.
Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

What a crazy situation. God, sometimes I really do despair at what is happening to our wonderful club.....

Hope you get it sorted out.

I hope you're right, Van and Benny, but our section was regularly used for block bookings for tourists last season and I wonder if they've extended this for the whole of next season. They won't move Josie -- too much aggro under the Disability Discrimination Act -- but they may well feel they can move me to somewhere nearby. But she needs me next to her, not just somewhere near.
Onto the Box Office first thing tomorrow.

                        Hi Swanley,

I think it might be something to do with the Club needing proof of disability each season. I have had a wheelchair space in X-Block for the last 7/8 seasons and I found the same thing my space was available but not my helper's seat. You will probably need to show the Club proof of Josie's sight problem, although obviously they already because of your 2010/2011 season ticket, they should then release your seat. Hope this helps !!!

                        Ron.

call them, talk to a woman, explain, or you could write a letter via e-mail, don't give up just yet, there are good people everywhere, it just takes time to find them.

                              Thanks Ron.
I hope this is the case, although she's had a season ticket for a few years and this has not happened before.
I'm phoning Jon in the BO later to day to try and sort it out.
(I think, btw, you might know my dad, who is in the X block wheelchair area?
His name is Rob, he is bald and in his early 70's and misses quite a few games, but he is wheeled in by my (very tall and lanky!) son Dan.)
                              Thanks again everyone,
                              Nicola (Swanley)
