  • Ok lets get a few things straight with regards to ST prices.

I haven't taken the time to read through the mass hysteria as today is my birthday and I didn't want to ruin it by getting wound up this afternoon but I have a few points to make and as Platinum Season Ticket Holder I'll try to kep my cool.

    Expectations

    - I now raised my expectation levels to a mid table finish, 17th is no longer acceptable.

    - Following a mid table finish next season, the following I expect us to qualify for Europe

    - I have the right to boo or throw abuse at my Team, Management and Board if perfomances are not satisfactory.

    - I now expect Warnock to be given a warchest and our transfer record to be smashed 2 even 3 times over this summer

    - I expect every transfer fee to be non-disclosed I want to see where my money is going and if a transfer fee is disclosed I want to know why.

    Realism

    - This has nothing to do with the size of the ground lets stop fooling ourselves, more seats equals more revenue at top dollar.

    - The Indians are just as much a part of this as Ecclestone and Briatore, they are all responsible.

    - We are being charge through the nose because the demand is there and will continue to be so. We have a hardcore fanbase which is being exploited. There are no comparisons to be made with us and the likes of Bolton, Wigan and Blackburn.

    - The Fulham model is not our model we are completely different sorts of club with a completely different type of fan base so accept it.

I'm sitting here trying to mill through all this and the only thing I can come up with is these individuals are very good business men for a reason. They have us fans by the ******** and are squeezing the hell out of them. They know there will be others to replace us if we walk away and if it becomes a problem they'll just drop matchday ticket prices.....welcome to the Premier League.

All very true, must say doing away with the Platinum bar and keeping tickets at top price is taking the ****.

We all knew this would happen in the promised land but i like you do not want to see third rate over the hill signings,we are paying top dollar we expect the best.

This will kill the atmosphere at LR next season, I'll give it 2 bad peformances or losses and the discontent will sink in. Expectations levels have just been raised 10 fold time for the Board show us what they made off next year.

There will be a lot of return fans next year (call them glory huners if want) who won't stomach no VFM on their matchday ticket prices. Our fans are already a hard crowd to please, The Board have just stitched the squad up as we fans will now be expecting to see results from the off.

Won't happen. QPR fans are really deluded. We will have a lot of championship quality players this season. This is why I am not paying out.

Totally agree with a lot of what you have said, but don't understand why we can't go along with the Fulham model.

I live in SW London and travel in to Waterloo every day. Almost every station has posters for Fulham. Why can't we do the same and try to do what they do and get bums on seats.

They have a slightly bigger ground than us, but can we really say they have a bigger fan base? Of course they don't, but they have someone in charge who knows about customer satisfaction...

              The whole thing stinks.

QPR board, there is one word you have to learn, and that word is LOYALTY. We were here before you and we will be here long after you have gone. We aren't just £20 fans (having seen the new prices we really aren't). We are the people who put money through the turnstiles in good and bad times. You have s*** on us before and we have taken it, but how long do you think we are going to take this? Can't wait for Amit to pop up on player to tell us how much we mean to them. Keep it up guys, you are driving your meal ticket away........
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

              "NUESTRA GLORIA, VUESTRO INFIERNO"

(If you don't understand it, then learn Spanish. It is the language of world football.....)

I think the Fulham model is flawed I read somewhere recently that Al Fayad has underwritten somewhere in the region of £115 million so maybe something is not quite right there. The board don't need to go down Fulhams route as we have a more hardcore support than them, we are are a passionate club they are not, therefore we are there to be taken advantage...I think what I meant that Fulham model is not a possibility because The Board know they can get away with not going down that road whereas Fulham have to.

                      great post w12_ranger..

the expectations bit NAILS it for me.. if we're expected that kind of price hike then the board need to match it with the funds to get top quality premiership players... forget rejects from the reserves of some team.

sadly this all will now add to a worse atmosphere.

the fans who generate noise cant afford to go and thus it will be quieter down loftus road. dont come on here moaning about atmosphere next season.. you cant make much noise if its only 500 people. in 2/3 areas of the ground.
Soldier: "im on reconnaissance sir.. im looking for our camouflage expert.. have you seen him?"
                      Lovejoy: "No?!"
Soldier: "GOD DAMNIT THAT GUYS GOOD!"

I am thinking about not renewing next year....I'm just moving into a new drum, I might invest in one of those lazy boy sofas, new Sky Sports dish and join Matt-Chew as an armchair supporter next season....the real disgruntled fans next season will be the non season ticket holders who will expect to get VFM on their matchday ticket prices. It could end up being quite a nasty atmosphere next season IMO, worse than before.
