  • Home games only now!

Loved going away to support The R's, been doing it almost as long as I've supported the club, for me I'm now into my 43 season! Especially this very emotional season ..... Neil Warnock and the team will have to do without myself and my wife, we just can't afford ANY away games, any more! The huge price hike at Loftus Road has put a stop to that, I just wonder what the increase will be for next season, as I didn't expect our season tickets to go up from GOLD £540 to GOLD £759- I fear this could be my last season as a QPR season ticket holder, which me and Kathy have been for the past 18 years... really breaks my heart to say that!
Never thought it would come down to this. I love football, I watch it every evening, I can't remember the last time I missed a home game at Loftus Road..... it's a huge part of my life! I'll never support another professional football club, but from now on I'll support my Brother who plays for Chiddingfold FC, about 50 leagues below QPR, on the Saturdays Rangers play away..... such a sad day for me!
I can only guess that next season's ST's will not be far off £1000, and will be just way out of our league. I really feel for those of you who are putting your sons/daughters through college and university, that's without the things that we all need for everyday life. It's wonderful that QPR are in the Premier League..... unfortunately for me, I'm almost just only holding on by the skin of my teeth, before being priced out of watching, and supporting, the team I loved all of my life. It's not just about the QPR players and the manager, I'm going to miss all the friends I've made spanning over 5 decades, that hurts maybe even more! Now, I'm to old now to protest, I just have to except the inevitable way QPR has gone and that's fancy 'Boutique Football'...... deep sigh!

It think for many people, now will be the time they sever ST links with QPR FC and go as and when, as they have taken the **** with these needless price increases. I was expecting 50% and I can see a lot less young kids going next season, as families cant afford the £1,000. With pubs showing live games, Sky Soccer Saturday, Sky's football first and Match of the day, you still get to see the best bits and will miss the worse bits.

Me too - home and away for over 43 years. We had a chat about one of our trips to the Potteries recently Joe and had a bit of a trip down memory lane. They were not always happy days but certainly character building and it's been a blast.

From now on I am going to be a MOTD/Soccer Saturday/Sky fan and will hope to get some decent coverage on Radio London too - I will not subscribe to player to get dross commentary that way and there will be no more trips to the Club shop, various food and drink outlets or other Club earners.

My god they have really gone to town on this one - prepare for a good tear up when Stanley Victor Collymore gets this one going on the radio - love him or hate him the man is a top bloke when it comes to getting a fair deal for the fans on ticket prices!

Joe it will be a sad sad day if a fan like you is forced out from going away and even worse maybe stopped from going to home games in the future as well, i've seen you at many many away games in the past and know you travel up and down the country.

On the other side of the coin though, i have to admit i think the increase is about par for the course....i've gone from £525 silver to £649 silver, working out to an extra £124 to watch what will definately be a much higher standard of football, i don't think that's too crazy a price hike, i do agree however that the match day prices are absolutely ridiculous, but as i will have a season ticket that dosen't really concern me (sorry if that sounds harsh). Also mate i think your worries about the season after will not be justified, i can't see the club has hit us with the major price hike now, i don't think we will see another one next season (especially if it's a bad season) i think more likely you will see the prices leveling out or maybe marginal increases, or obviously decreases if the worst happens.

Anyway keep the faith mate, the club can't afford to lose fans like you ( just do a few airport runs in the cab mate) lol

                  Horrible reading!

I've been fortunate enough to meet Joe on a number of occassions, hands down one of the most passionate, best supporters we have. When people like this are being forced out from QPR its a BIG sign we are doing things wrong!

Really hope to catch up with you next season mate!!

Sad reading Joe. My advice is to go to all the away games, and stop going to Loftus Road. That way the orange one won't get your hard earned money

When you read this from one of the clubs most loyal supporters it really hits home how bad a situation it is for people. Gutted for you Joe.

Very sad that Joe, maybe some of the pubs around the bush will follow the pubs around the emirates and show the games on TV, Least you'll get to see your mates still..

Your brother in-law is worth watching i played with him the other week..

Frode. Good idea in theory but without a season ticket no chance for most away tickets next season I'm afraid. Catch 22 situation.

So you can't buy a away season ticket without beeing a ST-holder at QPR?

Nope. And its gonna cost you £35 for the pleasure of being allowed to try and get them.
