Jenas had a middling injury start of last season (2009/2010) and never really got back into the side due to the form of Modric, Huddlestone, Palacios and latterly Sandro. This season, Redknapp has had to alter the formation to accommodate both Van der Vaart and Modric, which meant he's had to stiffen up the midfield by sometimes playing Huddlestone and Sandro together, meaning no room for the lighter and less defensive minded Jenas.

Jenas has done a job when called on. Spurs fans have mixed views on him. On his day, he's a proper international level performer, other days he seems to fade in and out and take the easy pass. Even on his bad days though, he's a couple of levels better than what we currently have. Certainly not injury prone though.

IMO Jenas has always played his best as one of two central midfielders, usually the more forward leaning. If you played him in, say, the Derry role, he'd need to stay disciplined. I think he'd prove more effective as one of two or the more attacking prong of a three. Good engine and free kick taker (Youtube some of his goals, cracking goals against Arsenal, Man Utd and Liverpool over the years)

Potentially. I'd be interested in seeing Adel as an out and out striker, with a better quality midfield behind him. Alongside someone *like* Bothroyd.

Can see where you are coming from as Adel's contribution is all about going forward - however wd be surprised if warno alters the 4-2-3-1 formation and also do think Adel is very good at finding space in that "libero" role.
