  • Right, am off down to the club to re-new my season ticket in loft lower.
£649, might upgrade to "superhoop" whatever it is, as I may need to get the odd ticket for family members now and then, so that's another £35 notes, making a grand total of £684.00, unless my maths is now more shyte than it ever was.

No excuses now, QPR boardroom. With many more people paying even more than me, and this is the most I have ever shelled out up front at QPR, above average quality players will need signing, don't even look sideways at doughnuts like Marlon King, otherwise I 'aint gonna be a happy bunny, and neither will 18,000 other QPR fans paying top dollar.
    Comprende?

Have you pulled a granny Morris ?

On a serious note and I do sympathise with those who are shocked at what is an extremely high hike in terms of percentage, £34 per game for silver isn't that bad in context. There are many overpriced things in the entertainment field such as theatre, cinema and even attractions such as the London Eye which we don't get so uptight over. Cannot see much to complain about with the lack of "early bird" either to be honest. What level of discount would you expect in any other business for paying up a few weeks early?

The one single thing I would take issue with and have done for so long now that it's unbelievable, is the absolute disgrace of the communications coming out of the club. Obviously, they cannot be blamed too harshly for not talking about the Faurlin hearing, but it would have been so easy to come out and explain in sympathetic terms, issues such as lack of a parade (sorry !!) and the reasons for such high price increases.

Well said Sir and they could also at least attempted to explain the large increase so soon after the last one we had and the complete indifference to those fans who have stuck with the club over the years and the lack of any form of loyalty reward for doing so

But you won't be going 19 times a season or 23 in championship

I can't see there being no platinum bar, the increase in percentage is a lot more than gold now, so you'd literally have people sitting next to each other with the same legroom but who have paid £250 difference. I think they must be upgrading something about platinum for such a huge increase over gold.

              • Well looks like I was wrong, the FAQ says the platinum bar is gone.

I think I'll be moving to gold, really no point spending £250 more for platinum, was there even a platinum evening this season?

Taken from www.yourqpr.co.uk in the benefits section.

Please note, in order to meet Premier League requirements and due to the limited space available within the stadium, it has become necessary for us to turn the Platinum Bar into a new Press Room ahead of the start of the new season. We have explored the possibility of another location within the stadium, but unfortunately we are unable to offer an alternative facility at this time.

Any Platinum Season Ticket Holders that wish to move seats due to these changes will be offered first option on any Gold Seats that are available in the stadium.

I cannot really see the point you are trying to make.
Are you suggesting that we also dictate to all the other PL clubs how much we will pay for our tickets ? Because I guarantee you we will be charged considerably more at certain places.

So do you agree with the whole post or just the last paragraph.

Have to say I think that a majority of what Brighton said was complete ******. Yes I went to the London Eye, ONCE. Yes I go to the cinema from time to time when there is a decent movie to watch. And yes theatre tickets can be expensive (assuming you are stupid enough to pay full price rather than going for the many deals that are out there). But we aren't talking about that are we? We are talking about the R's which for a majority of us are a huge part of our lives. The club realise that they have us by the balls, they know that being back in the promised land means a great deal to us and that we will probably pay whatever they ask.

And don't even get me started on the lack of an earlybird deal...........

Loyalty, come on guys for most of us it means a great deal more than a few fairly worthless points......

                      Rant Over........
A message to the other Premier League clubs when they visit Loftus Road.....

                      "NUESTRA GLORIA, VUESTRO INFIERNO"

(If you don't understand it, then learn Spanish. It is the language of world football.....)

Just the last paragraph actually and I should have trimmed down the quotation to make that clear

You are right that after all the moaning has died down the majority of us will renew or buy a season ticket for the first time but I think this new pricing will severely backfire on the club with future attendences especially if we drop down after one season

I guess I am quite lucky being able to renew my seat in Silver as it will work out about £34 a game which is not as bad as some areas and at the moment I can afford it but it all stinks when so many are even now having their dreams of watching us next season in tatters because of the greed and contempt for genuine fans they display time after time

My comment on loyalty was not about the points system but was regarding the loyalty of fans who have stuck by the club over the last fifteen years and yet have not recieved any reward from the club for doing so

Of course it was our choice to do so and for the most part I have enjoyed it despite some of the shocking times but it would have been a really great gesture for the club to have somehow recconised the fact with a discount of some kind

                        • Bottom Line: We need a bigger ground.
                          30,000.

Or this will go on, and on, and on, and on......

not sure we will fill 18000 seats with the match day prices they'll propose

I was referring to your point about other entertainment that you pay for being expensive. What I was trying to say is that you may have to pay top dollar to go to the opera or whatever, as mentioned in your last post but I doubt people will be going to the opera/London Eye 19 or 23 times during the year

Totally agree. The comment about loyalty was aimed at the club rather than any posters. 40 odd years of this and this is how they treat us. I guess those Sky offers are looking very tempting to many at the moment.
