Keep reading how people seem to think this is down to Flavio,Sousa has been here long enough now to have formed a decent opinion on who is good enough and who he wants.
Sousa obviously doesnt rate him so its curtains for Dexter.
Looking at how many strike partners DB has played with im beginning to think hes the problem, cant play with Agyemang,SDC,HH,always looks panicky and uncomfortable with the ball at his feet.
If we get over £1.25m then id say its a good deal for someone who is pretty limited in there all round play.

Beckford is prolific at League One level I think 9/10 QPR fans would take him over Blackstock any day of the week!

I would feel very confident that Beckford would hit 20+ next season if we signed him...lets see how many teams come in for him this summer shall we if Leeds don't go up.

As I said if he was that good we wouldn't be letting him go!

W12 Ranger I have to say you talk alot of sense. I can't believe im coming under fire for doubting Dexter Blackstocks ability or should I say a lack of it? He has a turning circle of a small truck and he offers very little to the side. I find it amusing that we defend him because we judge his form in the season of 2007/2008. He has NOT improved over the last year and we have had 3 managers that also don't rate him. Are they all wrong? The point of it is that yes our current strikers are not cutting the mustard but I want to see NEW strikers. I can't believe people are so upset about blackstock. If we are looking at breaking into the top 6 then blackstock does not have the ability to play in that top 6 side. I know we all love to blame the board but the fact of the matter is we need a new striker that has pace as I don't think we have any pace upfront hence why they are thinking of playing tarrabat upfront and we can then start playing 'through balls'. I played centre back at a good level and I would of not feared marking blackstock. He would look average in league 1 and Beckford it a better player, just a fact.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

that was two years ago, he has since developed into a class act and imo would easily make the step up to this level.

Di Carmine is on loan and will go back.
I agree we have ****e upfront but we need to bring 2 strikers in.

instead of massively overeacting why do you think this is a stupid move by the club? Given that, realistically our season is over and DB is no more than a lower end championship striker who will not help us progress to the next level.

wolves wanted him jim....with the right service he is dynamite he just cant do 4-5-1 this aint about him not being good enough its about him not fitting sousas plans

For what its worth I like Blackstock, many people on here brand him as lazy but I think he has a good work ethic, coupled with a good attitude. I fully agree he is not capable of playing the lone striker role, Saints away paid testament to that. However, just food for thought on your last point, is it Sousa's plans DB does not fit in with or did the order to move DB on get handed down from above.

good question but it will get us nowhere,,,,,the whole thing stinks....prices, the crap we watch...dex is more than worth keeping cumon!!!!! in a good championship side he could easily fill in if someone is injured or what have you....if he had carried on playing this season he was on course for 20 plus goals
