in fairness he did look good up top towards the end against bristol, thought in the first half out on the wing he looked a bit lost but in the centre he was more involved and v threatening. trying to sound positive...

Who ever agreed to these needs ****ing shooting....

        by the way ......

WEAREQPR12 are you having an F ing laugh i seem to remeber that Dexter almost single handly kept us up. when we nearly religated a season or so ago.

the Goal against Preston at home, then after that we went on mini run. and stayed up

Pompey I agree with you mate but that was 2 years ago, we were struggling and DB did a great job, however we have come on leaps and bounds since then and unfortunatley DB has not, he still remains a lower end championship/division 1 striker. He is not good enough for a side with serious promotion ambitions.

If he was a lower end championship /div 1 striker how comes he is so high up in the goalscoring charts this season?

It says alot that he is going to a club that will probably be relegated.

Forest have changed it slightly. If they go down, he will come back to us. I suspect another club will come in for him.

CANNOT BELEIVE WE HAVE LET OUR BEST STRIKER GO FROM THE CLUB
Hardly a loss in my opinion. We could do much better than him.
Never going to be good enough I'm afraid.

It would help if he could run 5 yards before falling over aswell. All the best to him and I hope he really does well at forest.

Yeah that goal against Argentina in 98 was laid on a plate for him wasnt it, 2 yard tap in if i recall...

Not to mention his 1 in 2 scoring record pretty much anywhere, including international level, or the fact when at Madrid his goals to minutes on the pitch ratio was the best of any Striker in Europe...

                          Yeah he's crap Scott!:what:

Good job you're not on the scouting payroll.

As for Blackstock, and "WeareQPR12" who said he's not the sort of player you want in a relegation fight... welli seem to recall he did alright the other year when his 14 goals in a fight kept us up. Give the guy some credit FFS. All summer we moaned about not having a 20 goal striker, well the guy had 11 and was about 4th in the leaguer scoring list then got dropped. If he'd have kept playing he would have hit 20. As for Helgussen, yeah decentplayer maybe, but how many sitters has he missed, normally at least 1 a game maybe more.... is that progress?

Can't stop laughing how half of those on the MB's are having kittens over this and the other half couldn't give a toss.

If Blackstock was that good we wouldn't be letting him go, he is not worth 15k a week on a 4yr contract, he is not that good in the air and he is poor with the ball at his feet.

He may have scored 12 goals this season but the way I look at it 2 of those came against 10 man Southampton, 3 against relegation fodder Charlton one in the cup against Swindon and few others that were harder to miss than score. Loan striker or in a pairing he is exactly the same player completely one dimensional, no strength, no skill or pace.

But he is only 22.....Yeah ok, we could pay him 15k a week and wait for him to develop into a striker other teams fear or we could pay someone like Ched Evans, Jason Scotland or Jermaine Beckford 15k a week who we already know other teams at this level would fear.
