Jan Stejskal was quality although don't really remember Hucker. Seaman was the best Keeper I ever saw down LR but I think Kenny has the ability to be 1 of the top keepers in the league and I rate him higher than Robert Green. Under pressure I know who i'd rather rely on and its not dodgy Green.

Where would you rank him, I'd have him above the likes of Howard and Gomes straight away.
For me
Van Der Saar
Hart
Riena
Cech
Our Paddy?

Give it time before we make such illogical leaps of faith.
It was more down 2 the class of Kenny. He kept us in games more than the job the defence did in those 46 games.
So 4 that Kenny would b in top 5 to 7 in prem league at mo

I watch a lot of football (how the missus puts up with me I don't know). Missed 5 games of ours this season 4 aways and Millwall at home (as annoyingly I won a golf competition at work and had to stay for the presentation). Some of his saves this season have been quite sublime, forgive me if I am wrong but constantly I witnessed stuff I've not seen from a previous keeper in a hoops shirt and all in his 1st season.
Exactly nothing to do with the past, or how many games a keeper has played in the PL or reputation. Going into the new season we have one of the top 5 keepers about at present, Kenny will be the difference between us staying up or going down.

Personally I'd say right off the bat he's below:
Hart
Cech
Reina
VDS
Friedel
Foster
Robinson (great form ATM)
Jaaskelainen
Begovic
Howard
Given
Schwarzer
I'd even argue he's below Mignolet & Al-Habsi.
I love Kenny, he's been top class for us this season and won't disgrace himself in the Prem, but I certainly wouldn't put him in the top 10 keepers.

Kenny, who I DO rate, not even third choice for Ireland.

Was our last world class keeper.

I remember him being dropped I believe after some real dodgy performances which culminated in Eddie McGoldrick lobbing him from about 35 yards in a 1-3 defeat against Palace at home. I was there when he saved a pen at St James Park, there were good moments with him in goal but to refer to him as world class is laughable. He may well be the last decent keeper we had before Kenny but Kenny is twice the keeper IMO and I feel a lot more comfortbale with him in goal.

Kenny is a good goalkeeper though made enough errors this season (didn't always result in goals) to know he's never going to get near the likes of Stejskal and Seaman.

I'm not having this, the more I think about it the more I realise just how many games I see Stejskal play. The man couldn't catch a cold, teflon gloves he was. A serious weak link in that Premier League side of the 90's were the goalkeepers who were both liabilities without a doubt. He left the club at 32 years on a free transfer, hardly a world beater IMO but each to there own, all I could remember was how nervous both he and Roberts made me feel when they played.
