Yeah..... just like to echo Pete's sentiments. I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon on Shepherds Bush Green, maybe 80 to 100 'Hoops' by 1.15pm - Delighted to see a few R's families with their picnic's, and yes, it would have been better with a bigger QPR turnout of maybe 400/500, but it wasn't to be, still it didn't stop us from enjoying our day - A couple lads played games of three and in..... basically in general we just mulled over this truly fantastic wonderful season for our club, and what the highlights were that stood out for us as individuals.
I met a lad who'd came over from the Isle of Wight specially for this 'Unofficial Jolly-Up'..... It never ceases to amaze me what extremes Rangers fans go to for our club. He told me a story about his Dad who he'd lost, but he didn't say when his Dad past away, only that he was 80 years of age.
My apologies for not remembering his name!... Anyway, at the Leeds game, he had a ticket in the Lower School-End, and like many others he raced onto the pitch at the final whistle to celebrate our promotion. When he got to the centre circle, he opened a bag that he was carrying, which contained his Dads ashes, and then proceed to scatter them on the pitch, whilst Rangers fans sang and danced, he said it's what his Dad wanted, "I did it for him" - I thought that was possibly one of the most touching QPR stories I'd heard in many a year!
So at 3.30pm after spending the best part of 3 hours in possibly the best place in the world..... keep yer Nile, and yer Angel Falls and and whatever.... nothing like being with my 'Hooped Family' in West London!!!! We decided, maybe 30 of us to go for a well earned ale in The White Horse, and view the proceedings of relegation Sunday...... It was just like a QPR home game, only everyone was supporting Ollie and his Blackpool boys..... damn good afternoon! Anyone who was on The Green who's reading this small account of our day, you be extremely proud, in light of all the rubbish that's been branded in the press about this gathering, in the way you conducted yourself, give you and yours a big pat on the back.... WE ARE QPR, and I'll never want to be anything else!
Maybe we'll do it again, the week before QPR play our first Premier League game.... U r'ssssssssss!:kiss:Last edited by JoeHylton; 23-05-2011, 09:14 AM.R.I.P Steve Edwards, Neil Roberts & Trevor Kingham

I just hope that our feelings over all this eventually get through to the club -- they owe us big time. Feels like we were robbed of our week of celebrating, after the Watford game, by the FA, only to be robbed of our last chance to all celebrate together by the club.
Even if there wasn't time to organise a parade, having a party on the pitch with music etc. would have been very easy to organise, surely? Trophy on display so that fans could be photographed with it, etc.
All we can do now is move forward to next season.
A season ticket form would be nice.Faurlin is my hero!!! Love him!!! #########

Top post Joe. And it was a great turn out, nice to see the families that came along and had a good old kick about. A disgrace that fans had to organise it but well, we enjoyed ourselves. Cracking atmosphere in the White Horse - just a shame pool couldnt stay up....oh well Wigan and Wolves it is then next year!

yes
yes i really enjoyed the day out ,it was to be my first time in the white horse
and it was a very friendly place, there are no men at all associated with the pub and the fans just all sing there hearts out,i was standing behind some of the origional loft boys, and i found it emotional, there was my old battle commander
hes lost loads of weight, and he was strangley passive yesterday.
i probabley wont go to any qpr matches next season, but i can still keep all my dreams, and yesterday the atmosphere in the white horse was electric.
For anyone going to loftus road i would strongly advise you to go to the white horse after the game as its an amzing place full of rangers fans all singing, thanks for organizing the day out pete i really enjoyed it,but i coyuldnt find my adopted son jeffro or my adopted father geejaybee

weareqpr12..We will do a Petes Latest soon, looking back and looking forward..
Just a shame one or two from this site and other sites mocked the idea, as it would have been good to see a united front, despite our differences..
w12ranger and haqpr1963 on here for example, ridiculed it, but in all fairness could not have found a better outdoor venue.
Anyway, roll on next seasonALL BEST BANTER AND ALL THE LATEST FROM QPR.

Of course there were a few cans of ale consumed, and a few sarnies went down the hatch, bit of flag waving and singing as you do.... but we as QPR fans didn't abuse 'The Green' - We cleaned the area up, left it just as we found it possibly even more tidy, including the dog-ends! At least the council provided plenty of waste disposal bins all over 'The Green'! We all love our football club, virtually goes without saying, as a totally unofficial gathering it was obvious to all, including the one police observation van, that we'd do nothing to put our beloved club Queens Park Rangers FC, in any sort of jeopardy. Think maybe our club and the council should recognise this, instead of producing belittling literature in the press, OK maybe NOT Rangers, but certainly Hammersmith council..... We're ordinary people, not ragamuffins who want to cause a disturbance or annoy people who are going about their own daily life. We shouldn't have to make our own QPR promotion celebration party -This was nothing more than the QPR players and Neil deserved, and certainly for our fans who've spent shed loads following Neil and the team home and away...... As QPR supporters we're no different than any other professional football club followers in this, or any other country, for me it was a sad sad day when Rangers fans and staff were denied the promotion celebration of what has been possibly our finest footballing season in the history of QPR...... end of!
Just a little PS from my wife Kathy..... It's funny how we keep being referred to as "A great set of fans" well it doesn't particularly feel like that when the club don't want us to join in with the townhall celebration! Sounds like their sentiments are just like pie crust, something there for decoration only! Wonderful that the mayor got to have her picture with the trophy we have waited 35 years for, funny I don't remember seeing her at Swansea on that Tuesday night, or being part of the 8 hour odyssey back from Leeds in the snow... maybe I just missed her ladyship, I'm sure she deserved to celebrate more than us!
