QPR are eyeing Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd.

The Mirror says R's boss Neil Warnock is considering a move for Bothroyd as he seeks to boost his attacking options for their Premier League campaign.

Bothroyd comes off contract at Cardiff next month.

The England cap wants a move to the Premier League to boost his European Championship chances.

    Yes please!
    Under Les Ferdinand:
Luke Freeman, top assists in the league: 4million
Alex Smithies, great goalie for this club: 3,5million
Charlie Austin, 19 Premier League goals: 4million
Jack Robinson: Contract ran out, left for free
    And many more mistakes

LES FERDINAND, IT'S TIME TO GO

              Prefer Graham or Ebanks-Blake myself.

Was good for third of their season.Career average pretty poor.

              No thanks.

i wouldnt mind if we got him, but if we did get him, i hope we go for another striker aswell that has a better goal scoring record. We will need 2 decent strikers that will get us goals if we want to remain in the prem

He was done and dusted but Dowie didnt want him. He was with Eric Walters (QPRs favourite agent) but moved to be represented by Sky Andrews earlier in the season to engineer a move to a Premiership team in January - which was put on hold as they thought Cardiff may go up and they could get a better deal this summer. Certainly someone we've looked at before and certainly someone who would love to come to QPR ;)

As tarabt7 says we need more than one striker and would be a massive step up from hulse, agyman and vine. Not sure what standard of player some fans are expecting?

If we are going to sign someone of Bothroyds age then I'd sooner they had good PL experience.

Graham yes, Bothroyd I'm not sure....at this level Cardiff fans are even split on him if you read their boards whilst players like Graham, Holt even Earnshaw have the full backing of their supporters so why are we to believe he will be any different here.

Surely the likes of CMS, Graham, Long, Bornini are all better targets.

He needs new challenges, simply as that. Maybe at Loftus Road?

                              Bothroyd this season:

13 goals in 14 games before November.
5 goals in 27 games after November.

Of his 18 league goals, 4 came against teams in the Top 6.

Epitome of a flat track bully.

If his name had been mentioned 12 months ago, people would be moaning like crazy and saying we needed to show some ambition and get a goalscorer.

66 goals in 308 games before this season outside the Premiership. Not good enough. Nowhere near hungry enough.
