Unfortunately some fans don't seem to realise that life is all about "either/or" situations. You could EITHER have rubbish football in the lower leagues that is cheap, OR you can have premiership football that is very expensive. You can't have both. I know plenty of long standing fans for Prem Clubs and they all say its, quite literally, a different ball game now. They used to either have season tickets or rock up on the day at places like Arsenal - now theres a waiting list for season tickets decades long and you can't get tickets for love or money. One old boy I know whose been going to Highbury since 1948 now only manages to get tickets a few times a season.

Its sad but its the inevitable cost of wanting all the glamour/ glory whatever it is of the prem league. No point moaning about it.
Fulham. I work with a plonker who supports them, he never tired of boasting to me how he was watching premier league football, for less than I was paying to watch championship football.
Today, he was a right pain in the old proverbials, he obviously had got wind of the possible price hikes at Loftus Rd, and how he would be watching the same level of football, but for at least a couple of hundred pounds less.

We are being fleeced, no use pretending otherwise.

I am happy to pay big money, 40-50 pounds a game if we show real ambition in the transfer market.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

        And I agree.
If the club expects us to pay top dollar, we can at least expect top quality signings, and a top six finish as a minimal target.

It will undoubtedly be a massive PR disaster if fans paying more than their less illustrious neighbours, see their team lagging behind Fulham come the season's end, and to be absolutely fair, quite right we would be,too.

          No.

Not gonna fund some money grabbing mercenary's salary.

          Would pick and choose games.

I'll apologize when you stop killing civilians in Libya, and Afghanistan.
Welcome to the rest of the world, however I do realize talking about War
on a football site is not on, for that I do apologize. But I won't apologize
to your brave young men and women for staying in Afghanistan even though
Osama is dead, unlike you, I care what happens to civilians in Libya and Afghanistan and I do realize
that you have pulled out of Iraq, good for you. You can rah-rah your troops all you want
but a war must be justified, and what is the justification in Afghanistan and what is the justification in Libya? I will drop it. If you want to ban me for speaking my mind, do as you wish.

The board are in a no win situation, and we are now making us a victim of our own success. Would we rather pay 35% less, and still be in the Championship ?
              Good answer :drunk:

Granted their prices are much higher than ours already so 6% on top of that is a lot - but Fulham keep theirs low for Premiership Football.
Naturally i'd rather it be only a tenner for a ST but I do wonder what it's gonig to be like in years to come when smaller increases are added on a yearly basis regarless of performance
I do think the increase is high because of our current capacity issue and demand for ST, if we move grounds I think some how it will (hopefully) balance its self out.

You can't compare Fulham prices to Arsenal's mate IMO, Gunners have a fantastic stadium and regular CL football, Fulham have shi_ ground and fans.

I don't condone the Arsenal 6% increase as they have paid a lot extra for there new stadium for a while but, I would pay the increase if I were in their shoes and have a moan because they didn't achieve what they have wanted in terms of success for a few yrs now.

Mate this is a football forum. I doubt anyone on this board condones with the situation in the middle east and would rather peace and love throughout the world like myself.
